Dear Family
Actually.... The new bike is Awesome!!!!! I really love it. and it is a good thing that i got it because my other bike that my comp was using got destroyed yesterday. okay, not exactly destroyed, but some how the shaft on the cranks, inside the bike, broke in half while we were riding. so we had to walk back home and then go in search of a bike for him (calling the assistants) , get the bike, spend half the day fixing it and getting it ride able, and then go back to work. My comp has really bad luck with bikes. so even though all that happened yesterday, we still had a good day. we found a girl to teach and we had a very good lesson with her. she is pretty opened minded but doesn't like "organized religion". she says they always diminish woman. anyways, we taught her and hopefully she reads the bom and gets an answer.
today for pday... it is raining. :( so yeah, that pretty much bites. i had finally talked my comp in to going over to the lake with the other elders to play soccer and hang out, but now that won't happen. He doesn't like to ride bike anymore than we have to, and the other elders always going over to the lake to play soccer on the beach and fish and stuff, so we usually end up doing nothing by ourselves, which really bites. but oh well, maybe since it is raining we can still go and see what the other elders are doing.
so on saturday we had a baptism. it went pretty good. except that nobody showed up for it. there where 3 members there. and then the elders. so i felt bad for Leo, but it is the ordinance that is important, not who is there. and i think he realizes that, then in sacrament meeting i confirmed him a member. that was pretty crazy to do in spanish. but it was cool. it all went well.
so yeah, starting in July the missions will combine! so then i can say that i served in 3 different missions, and learned 2 new languages! cool! so that will be pretty interesting. i am finally getting to where i know about half of the missionaries and now i have a whole other mission to get to know. it will be pretty cool.
guess what, i got another letter from Brasil yesterday! it was awesome!!! it was from one of my comps! that totally made my day.
so michael, how do you like working for brad? mom said you put in 11.5 hrs the other day! wow!! i remember doing that. it's hard and tiring, but the pay check REALLY makes it worth it. what were you doing? was it a finish or an underground? hopefully a finish, those where my favorites, and working long hours on those isn't bad. have you done roof drains yet? good luck with those.
So i have decided that when i get home and start going to college, i want to do something with languages. i already speak 3, so i figured i might as well use the talent the lord has given me. i want to learn french now, i should be able to pick it up fairly easily, i think. :) it's interesting that as the time slowly gets closer for me to go home, i am felling more ready to go back and start studying and jump into life. I know it will be super hard to leave and stop being a missionary, but i feel more ready to take the next step in life. although, before i start studying to much we have to go and visit Brasil! so first i have to get home, start working and save up money for that! then college! :)
well, i hope you all have a great day and week!!! I love you all!! the Church is True!!! Jesus Cristo is our Savior!
Amo Voces!!
