Dear Family
Actually.... The new bike is Awesome!!!!! I really love it. and it is a good thing that i got it because my other bike that my comp was using got destroyed yesterday. okay, not exactly destroyed, but some how the shaft on the cranks, inside the bike, broke in half while we were riding. so we had to walk back home and then go in search of a bike for him (calling the assistants) , get the bike, spend half the day fixing it and getting it ride able, and then go back to work. My comp has really bad luck with bikes. so even though all that happened yesterday, we still had a good day. we found a girl to teach and we had a very good lesson with her. she is pretty opened minded but doesn't like "organized religion". she says they always diminish woman. anyways, we taught her and hopefully she reads the bom and gets an answer.
today for pday... it is raining. :( so yeah, that pretty much bites. i had finally talked my comp in to going over to the lake with the other elders to play soccer and hang out, but now that won't happen. He doesn't like to ride bike anymore than we have to, and the other elders always going over to the lake to play soccer on the beach and fish and stuff, so we usually end up doing nothing by ourselves, which really bites. but oh well, maybe since it is raining we can still go and see what the other elders are doing.
so on saturday we had a baptism. it went pretty good. except that nobody showed up for it. there where 3 members there. and then the elders. so i felt bad for Leo, but it is the ordinance that is important, not who is there. and i think he realizes that, then in sacrament meeting i confirmed him a member. that was pretty crazy to do in spanish. but it was cool. it all went well.
so yeah, starting in July the missions will combine! so then i can say that i served in 3 different missions, and learned 2 new languages! cool! so that will be pretty interesting. i am finally getting to where i know about half of the missionaries and now i have a whole other mission to get to know. it will be pretty cool.
guess what, i got another letter from Brasil yesterday! it was awesome!!! it was from one of my comps! that totally made my day.
so michael, how do you like working for brad? mom said you put in 11.5 hrs the other day! wow!! i remember doing that. it's hard and tiring, but the pay check REALLY makes it worth it. what were you doing? was it a finish or an underground? hopefully a finish, those where my favorites, and working long hours on those isn't bad. have you done roof drains yet? good luck with those.
So i have decided that when i get home and start going to college, i want to do something with languages. i already speak 3, so i figured i might as well use the talent the lord has given me. i want to learn french now, i should be able to pick it up fairly easily, i think. :) it's interesting that as the time slowly gets closer for me to go home, i am felling more ready to go back and start studying and jump into life. I know it will be super hard to leave and stop being a missionary, but i feel more ready to take the next step in life. although, before i start studying to much we have to go and visit Brasil! so first i have to get home, start working and save up money for that! then college! :)
well, i hope you all have a great day and week!!! I love you all!! the Church is True!!! Jesus Cristo is our Savior!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY + FATHER'S DAY...... June 16, 2010
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, 43 huh!! dang...... your getting old. ;) hahahaha, watch out, i'm gonna be able to whoop ya in bball with your old age. so you got some fab freddy tokens huh, anything else sweet? are you getting anything for fathers day? and if so... have you already guessed it like usuall? What is it? so what's this "weapon" you got from Grandma?
well, once again i am wracking my brain, trying to figure out what i will write. i started a letter at the laundry cleaners and so i am trying to remember what i already wrote so i don't write it again. this week was pretty much like any other week. lots of work, talking to people, helping other missionaries, going on exchanges with the assistants and a distrct leader. and feeling like we are always running around. mean while the carpet is being changed in our house so everything is crammed into two small rooms. (namely the 2 couches, our big study table, 3 other tables we use for personal study, our two beds, dressers, and other odds and ends) It will be nice once it is done. i feel like i haven't been able to relax at home because there is no seats to sit on and it looks really messy. but once the carpet is done and all is back in it's place it won't be or look messy.
so one of our investigators, Leo, is set to get baptized this saturday at 3. so we are very excited for him. He is doing really well. it is kinda funny though, we found that we have to mark massive parts in the book of mormon for him to read, or he won't really read it and then he likes to take up all our time just talking about weird things. but if we mark a huge part (like from 3 nefi 11 to 4 nefi) he reads it all (in two days), and he has lots of questions and we have really good lessons. so that's the technic we are using with him. get him to completely divulge himself in the Book of Mormon. He is doing really well though. he is really our only investigator that is really going anywhere at the moment. hopefully the rest will start progressing. Elder Montez did find two new investigators yesterday, while we were on exchanges with the assistents, so hope fully they read and go to church and all.
so yes, i bought a bike. i will go and pick it up today. so i am pretty excited about that, and no michael, you can't have my haro. :) but i still love ya! :) and so i still owe about 300 on it, because i only did half last time, well almost half. so hopefully i have money in my account. Sorry, i guess i kinda bought it at a bad time huh. i should have asked around to know how the stock market is doing. ;) hopefully i won't have to use anymore of the money in my account, for the rest of my mission. so we'll see. today for my shopping i was able to keep it all under 10 bucks! so that was awesome! and don't worry, we do have food mom, i just have stuff left over from last week still. well, seeing as how i am going on about nothing again...
So it is pretty funny, alot of the elders always complain about how humid it is here, and one was pretty positive that it would be more humid here than in Brazil, but up till now, i have loving the weather! Not a big fan of riding bike in the rain, but other than that it is awesome! and not nearly as humid as brazil. i did exchanges with this elder on friday and he was completely dying and i was just like, it's awesome right now! it was pretty funny. but i do tend to sweat more when riding bike than when walking.
i Hope all is going well for everyone! good luck working with Brad mike! be sure and tell him hi for me.
AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND FATHERS DAY DAD!!!!! thanks for all that you have done and that you do for me! for all of your advice and being willing to help me with anything. I love you and hope that you have a great week and fathers day! Feliz Dia dos Pais!!! TE AMO
I love you all, have a great week!!!

Dear Family,
Hey chanae, Kalle Kolb (?), who used to work at seagull with you, is a sister missionary here in my mission. interesting huh. just a random fact.
so this week was good. i am glad it is pday, although we arent going to do alot. last night i had a really cool exp. we were trying to find a less active member and we knocked on his door. this big, tattooed, fairly intimidating guy came out and we talked to him and he went back in. (the member doesn't live there anymore to say the least) so we start to leave, we get about 10 steps aways from the door when the door opens again. a guy named Rick comes out and starts talking to us. he said that something told him he should come out and talk to us. we explained what he felt was the Holy Ghost and then started to tell him that God loves him, as he started to cry, and that He has a plan for him. he then let us in to the stair well (he was at his sisters house and there were alot of people over) and we taught him a quick lesson. it was a very powerful lesson! after the lesson we invited him say the closing prayer and to ask to know that he book of mormon was true, and he did. Wow! It was an amazing prayer! very powerful! the spirit was so strong!!! I have never had an investigator pray like that before! then he sent us over to his girlfriend or x wife (don't know which yet) to talk to her. so we ran over there, now about 8:50 pm. we start tallking to her and she is very interested as well. it was pretty cool! both of these people are ready to hear the gospel! it is amazing how the Lord was guiding us to that house, and we had know idea!
other than that it has just been another normal week basically. although, i will probably have to buy a bike today because my comp needs a new one, his is a piece and won't last much longer. so i told him he could use the one i have know and i would buy one, because he doesn't really have the means to buy one and he is going home soon. so we will take his old bike in and another piece of crap bike we have at home to see if we can traid them in for a discount. anyways... i hope you all have a great week. I love you all!!!!!!
mom, maybe you should just go to bed! :)
Love ya!!

Dearest Family,
so this has been quiet the interesting week. i am glad it is finally pday! we have been so busy!!! it's crazy!!! i don't know if i have ever been so tired in my mission! well, i'm sure i have been, it's just been a while. :) we have been running from app. to app., trying to prepare things for zone conference, get the house organized, along with our area, plan for the week (which should take about 3 hrs, but it took us almost 3 different days to do it because of app. and we still aren't done yet, and tomorrow we plan all over again). so yeah. but it has been fun. we have two investigators on date to get baptized. the 19 of June. so we are excited for that. they are progressing very well and working hard.
thanks so much for the package! we have already made some of the cookies and the blueberry muffins! it was awesome!! thanks a ton! the dmv records, just send to the mission office. and if you have any problems try calling the mission office and see what they say to do.oh, and dad can pose as me, my name is Brent Wilson. :)
and i actually gave the "new" short sleeve shirts to my other comp before i left so it's all good.
well, i only have 9 min. left, so i am trying to think of everything i can to tell you and i all i can do is draw a blank. uh oh, 8 min. :)
yesterday we taught an awesome lesson! it was to a guy and his kids. the guy is from iraq, and his wife is mexican (but she wasn't there). so taught them and it was an awesome lesson! very powerful! and the guy was very interested and said that he would definetly read the book of mormon! we were stoked! and then we helped a member move! it was pretty crazy! took about 4 hrs to. we had to go to home depot with her to help her rent a truck and then throw all the junk in it. it was cool.
oh, and something random, listen to Glenn Beck's conversion story. it is way good! we just got done listening to it. it was pretty cool. it was put out by deseret book.
well ,4 min to go, soooo.......
I hope you all have a great week and that all is going well! thanks for all the emails everyone!!!! oh and dad, don't get your hopes up about winning at bball! ;) i'll school ya!!!!t
