SUNSCREEN? WHAT IS THIS WORD? :) ........February 2, 2009

okay, I wear sunscreen when i think about it. so not everyday, but when i remember i do. and i have been trying to remember:)

Hello Family!!!!
I hope you are ótimo! (awesome) i am doing really good! yesterday we had two baptisms! one man named João maria and a boy with 11yrs. named Ricardo. It was totally awesome! I am way excited for them! Elder Hyatt baptized João Maria and i baptized Ricardo. it took me three times to baptize him! his foot kept floating up. so finally the last time i stepped on his foot and baptized. it was kinda funny but the important thing is he was baptized!
we finally marked a baptismal date for erivaldo to. the family we are teaching! we will baptize them on saturday and then on sunday we have two more baptisms marked to and they are all firm ( can you say that?). so i am way escited for this week! 5 baptisms! i really hope the lord will help us and that they will all make it!
and yes mom, had i known it was expired milk i wouldn't have dranken it and gave the excuse of my sick stomach. and with the other, that was like the main dish so i would have eaten it anyways.
Transfers are this coming monday. My comp has almost 6 months in this area so he will probably be transfered. and i will stay here. which is good. i have been with my comp. for almost 3 months now. you could say i am ready for a change, but it will be sad at the same time. i really hope i get a brazilian comp. because my portugues will get a lot better. oh, there is a rm in my ward that served with elder hurd. cool huh.
and mikey, i forgot last week to answer your question. no, they don't have any cool candy down here. candy at home is a million times better! we have better sugar!!!!! and i have your present ready and i will probably send it on the 10 ish. thats when we get payed and we go to the correios. (post office)
and bryce, thanks so much for the advice! i love to receive advice from other missionaries to help me be better cause i am still learning alot of things. and thanks for your support!
so i will attach two photos today. either with this e-mail or the next but one of the baptism and one of the elders that came with me to the mission. we all met at a conference with elder cook. ( i remembered just barely:))
so that conference with Elder Cook was awesome!!!! i got to shake his hand to! i love to listen to the apostles! they speak with so much power! it is so cool! he talked on how we can be better missionaries, he talked about 4 things. loving the people, loving your comp. loving the mission pres. and loving the savior. it was really cool! and pres. talked to us for quiet a while to ! it was a really good conf. and Sister gave us some de worming pills:) that was fun! i have one more to take on wednesday. those things flush you out like crazy! the first day i took one i went to the bathroom 7 times i think. crappy huh:) but i am feeling better.
well, thanks for all of the letters! it was pretty funny, last week i received more letters and they were all from christmas.:) thanks for all!!! I love you all so much! can you believe we only have 3 1/2 months until the next phone call! crazy huh! man the time is passing fast! i almost have 5 months in the mission! crazy huh! Hey, I love you all!! give my love to all the family! I know this church is true! Jesus Cristo is our savior and redeemer! and we can all live together after this life!!! I am so grateful for the knowledge I have of the gospel!!! I love you all!!!!!!!! your son brother and elder,
