Did you say BILLY GOAT!?................. January 19, 2009

oh família!!!

Como voces estão? i am very good, well better than yesterday:) i was a little sick yesterday. it was like the flu symptoms where i was just weak and had a headache, and diarrea:) but hoje i am better. so diarrea:) a little:) anyways, Mom, thanks for sending baking powder because they don't have baking soda here or cream of tartor. so thank you so much!! and thanks so much for sending a package! I feel bad because it costs a lot to send packages and i just want you guys to know that i am so gratefull for all you do for me!!!
so yesterday we didn't really have any one lined up for a baptism and we were praying like crazy that the lord would bless us with one, we even had the font filled up (the other elders had a baptism on saturday:)). but sadly we didn't have one. but the good news is that next week, we have 7 baptism for sure and possibly 8! we have that one family and then 2 young men way firm and then 2 primary kids and then a young woman that said if she received an answer today then she will be baptized! so the lord is truly blessing us! I am way excited!!
Billy Goat.. did you say Billy goat.... yup sure enough, it was billy goat! on saturday for our lunch a member prepared buchada for us. basically it is heart and liver and other stuff of a billy goat wrapped up in the stomach of the billy goat and she prepared the feet (hoofs) to. so apparently if you cook the hoofs long enough you can eat them, cause i did. i was blessed with not being able to understand her so i didn't find out what we ate till after when i asked my comp. but i must say.. it wasn't as bad as you would expect. yeah, the stomach was pretty gross but she had the heart and liver seasoned pretty good. but the feet were disgusting! but i made it through:)so yeah, probably one of the wierdest things i will eat here. it was a first for my comp to.
thanks so much for the poptarts! i have bun munching on them and they are sooo good!!! and also, hot wheels are a good thing to send for xmas because here it is 5 reis for one. so 2.50! crappy huh. and the kids love them.. so just a little side note:)
and dad asked how much money i get a week and stuff... i get 100 reis for 2 weeks. depending on what i buy and eat, i either spend it all or i end up with anywhere from 10-20 reis left over. just depends on what we do.
so i mentioned that i was trying to cut out english. yeah, its hard:) but i am learning faster and able to speak better now. and i am slowly forgetting english if you can believe it. sometimes i ask my comp, hey how do you say this in english, and he's like, i don't remember. :) it's pretty funny. yeah my comp just asked me how to spell something and after he said.. English is wierd! its pretty funny! and i found out why none of my fotos have been loading. they are all to big. so i changed the setting on my camera and i will try to send two fotos to see if it will work. one of my comp and then one of elder vieirra (on the bed) and elder matos ( the other 2 elders in our house)
well family, I love you all so much!!! the church is true!!! I know it with all my heart!!! through the atonement of our savior Jesus Cristo we have the oppurtunity to repent and we can all live together after this life with him! how great is this gospel!! ilove it!!!!
