Bad Experience 2....December 7, 2009

Dear Família,

hey guys so whats up with every one? sounds like everyone is doing good and that things are going good at home.
so i am doing good. this week was pretty crazy. actually, yesterday was pretty crazy. so if you all remember, a while back i had a problem with my kidneys. well i have been feeling the same kind of pains lately but i was always forgetting to call sister at night because i was and am always so tired and have a lot to do. Well yesterday we went to get Palianna, a 20 yr old girl, who would be interviewed and then baptized. well when we arrived at the church, i started to feel a really bad pain, about where my kidneys are. the same kind of thing that i felt the last time but this time it was getting worse. so i grabbed my comp and elder stacey to give me a blessing while polianna was being interviewed. then after her interview we started the baptism. but this whole time the pain was just getting worse, until during the baptism i was doing all i could to stay seated and not start crying. well after she was baptized, she went to change her clothes and i went and laid down on a bench and basically started crying because the pain was so bad. so my dl called sister and a taxi to take me to the hospital after the baptism was over. oh, and i threw up before we went to the hospital. so at the hospital, i got two injections, one in the butt that left me really sore, and another in the hand. and i am now taking some medication to help with the pain and to not get a fever and stuff. but i will have to have another exam to know for sure if i have a kidney stone. so yeah, that was my adventure for yesterday. i am alot better now mom, so don´t freak out. :) i am feeling better and i am able to work with out a problem. so don't wory. ;) i wasn't sure if i should have told you guys just because i don't want mom to freak out, but, i thought you would like to hear my epic story. it was pretty crazy. but i learned alot from that experience already. in the blessing i received, it said i would be blessed with the strength i need to face the pains and afflictions that i would face. and i was. it is interesting that the lord didn't just take my pain away, but that he wants me to learn something from it. i also remembered that our savior has already felt that pain and so much more. He has passed through so much pain and suffering for us. I am more grateful for my Savior and all He did for me. because i felt alot of pain in that moment, but our Savior passed through so much more.
Family, I know that this is the true chruch! Jesus Cristo is our Savior!! He loves all of us very much!!! I am so grateful for his sacrifice and for our opportunity to repent and try to do what is right. I love you all!!!!!! until next week!!!!

Did you say cow nipples?....November 30, 2009

Dear Family,

Hey everyone!!! So how the Heck are ya?!?!! Can you believe it, I’m finally sending you guys an e-mail. Legal né? So ya, I was pretty dang excited about today! To receive all of your e-mails and finally no how you guys are doing. And to be able to write you guys! Sorry that you guys received few letters from me during this past transfer. Letters are not my strong point. ;) sorry.

So I got transferred again. I am now in Paraiba, a city called Guarabira, in the mission district. My new companion is Elder Oliveira. He has 8 months in the mission and he is pretty cool. Sometimes he thinks he is senior and it drives me crazy, but I just let him think that and I work harder. Hahaha, I think he is my first companion that has already driven me nuts in the first week of the transfer. But it’s all good, I am learning patience with him.

So I have a bunch of pictures to send you guys, but this computer is a piece of crap. It took 20 min just to open your letter to read it. So I will have to send them next week.

Novidades, I had two baptisms with Elder Trage last transfer. Two young men. We ate ice cream everyday of the week, except for Sunday, because it was just 1 real. A member has a monkey there so I got to pet a monkey and take pictures with him! And I ate cow nipples! You guys are probably totally disgusted by that one! Hahaha but you know what, I was the one who bought it to try it out! And it wasn´t bad. It tasted like beef, but just a little chewy. I’d eat it again.

Please tell grandpa and grandma Wilson hi for me. I have received about 3 letters from them and still haven’t gotten one off, so please say sorry as well, and that I am very grateful for the letters.

So how was Thanksgiving? I didn’t even realize that it had passed by until Elder Stacey, a new American in my house said that it had passed. I had completely forgotten about it. But when I remembered I got really trunky for moms apple pie and for all of the great food at grandma gubler’s!

So I haven’t received any package but I probably will in the 14, the day of the zone conferences. And did you guys receive any packages? You should be receiving 4 packages this week, if you haven’t gotten them yet. It’s your Christmas Presents. There is one for mom and dad, one for chanae and bryce, and on for mikey and one for dallin. So in total 4. I hope that you guys like whats in side. And I have some other stuff that I want to send home but I don’t know when I will be able to get it off. I’ll try and do it soon.

Dallin, Congratulations on getting ordained a priest! That is way cool! I can’t believe that you are freakin 16 yrs. Old!!!!!!!! Holy Crap dude!!!! Hey, got your drivers license yet? Parábens!!!! And Happy Birthday!!!!!!

Thanks for the e-mails and letters everyone!! I love you all!! You’re the best family Ever!!!!! Send my love to all the grandparents and family!!!! Have a great week!!! The church is true!!!! Jesus Cristo is our Savior and Redeemer!!!! The Book of Mormon is true!!!! Always do what you can to be worthy of the spirit!! He is the best friend that you can ever have!!!! I love this gospel and this work!!!!
Love,

There's a First Time for Everything!!! ...... Sept. 28, 2009

Oí Família,

so how the crap is everyone? :) so grandma and grandpa left today for hawaii huh? Crazy! is there mission 1 1/2 yrs? so in other words, i'll get home before they do. legal! hey, do you think grandpa would let me use his scooter when i get home, seeing as i wont have a vehicle and all? ;) hahahaha just kidding.
so you would not believe what happened this week! as i said in the title. theres a first for everything, and i am realizing that you pass through almost every experience possible in the mission! so lets go...
on wednesday, i did splits with my zone leader. so i had a great day planned out and i was going to work his butt off! but as we know, things don't always go as planned. and it all started out in the morning. we walked about 20 min to a compromisso and when we arrived there i was feeling sick, drained of energy and i was having a pain in my back, about where my kidneys are( i have been having this pain since august. it come and goes, and some times it really sucks!). then we walked to our lunch and in the front of the house of the brother i threw up 2 times in the road. I thought it was because of the sun and maybe a lack of water. so we decided to eat at home. when we arrived i went to use the bathroom and i was peeing blood. a little wierd i thought, and i decided i would call Sister fernandes that night to talk to her about it. so after lunch we left to work, I was feeling a little better, still had the pain in my back and now one in the front, like a pain in the stomach. and we ended up walking the whole area because all of my compromissos fell through!!!!!!!! all of them!!!! we finally taught one lesson at 6 and then went to a ward family night to end the day at 7:30. but other than that it was just walking from house to house and talking with a ton of people in the road all day! it was really the worst day i have seen in the mission! and even better that i was with my zone leader and he will tell everything to President! oh gloria.... so yeah. it pretty much sucked. oh, and to end the day i was peeing blood again. so i tried to call sister
fernandes and finaly got a hold of her the next night, and she said that the next day, friday, i had to go to the hospital to get some tests done. oh gloria de novo!...
so we went to the hospital, and they did some tests (luckily it was a really nice hospital), and they didn't find anything. the doc said it was possible that i had a kidney stone, but when i peed blood that it passed. but personally i think it was the blessing that my comp and another elder gave me. so yeah. talk about crazy.
and yesterday!!!! wow, pense de um dia! we had 3 baptisms yesterday. everyone was in the cool white jumpsuits ready to go, when we realize that the doors to the font were locked. so we send the ward mission leader to find the keys. no one in the bishopric had a key, so they went to the house of the other bishop, tambem he didn't have key. we tried to take the door off by removing the hinges. but after an hour of running around and trying everything.....what happened..... we had to remark the baptism for another day! it really sucked!!!!!!! everyone was excited and ready to go, but thats life neh. so yeah, it really sucked. but we will have the baptize wednesday night. so that will be good
oh, and guess what else happened. (wow, this week was full of events) i lost my memory card to my camera with 5 months of pictures on it! i took the card to print fotos, and that night when we returned home, it was gone. i think it fell out of my pocket in the middle of the road! so yeah. i had more then 300 fotos on it. so i was pretty ticked about that. hey, have you guys sent my other memory card yet, if not please send it.
But, amongst all of the trials and problems and stress, the church is still true! :) The book of Mormon is true! and Jesus Cristo is our Savior and Redeemer and He loves us!!! thanks for the e-mails and all of your love and support!!!!! I love you all so much!!!!!!!!!

Come on Down!!!!! September 22, 2009

Hey Family!!!
man
you guys are trunky trunky trunky até o pó!!!! (or extremely trunky!:)) so this week was good. nothing to crazy. on sudnay we baptized a girl named sarah! it was pretty sweet. i will send a foto. and on quinta feira (thursday?) my comp. and i went and ate pizza in the pizzaria of my baptism!!! it was sweet!!!! and the pízza was way good! and then that night i burned a soccer shirt that one of my comps gave me that i never use because it was way to big and i thought it to be a little ugly. so i burned it! legal neh?! i will send pics of the shirt.
Thanks so much for the packages and the letters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i loved them!!!!!!!! we ate a bunch of the candy last night and i made peanutt butter cookies!!! it was sweet!!!! so yeah!!! THANK YOU!!!!! oh, and my comp and some other brazilians loved the little book of mormon so much they were wondering if you guys could send some more, because pocket size bom don't exist here. and my presidente asked that if there are some familys that can send an extra package for natal, to hand out stuff to all of the elders, then he would be really grateful. and so if that is something you guys could do that would be cool. He said to send it to the same address but just put mission joão Pessoa. He asked to send hygeneical stuff, or candy would be good, pens.. etc.... this is just if you guys would like to help. Presidente is doing this because there are many elders that don't recieve anything for Natal. and he needs to know by next week which families can help, so if you guys would like to, just let me know next week.
so on saturday i interviewed 7 people for baptism!! it was pretty cool! Elder Evangelista, an elder in my district is tearin it up! it was way cool! in these 7 he baptized a family and another man!
Well, i'm already running out of things to say... so...
I love you all so much!!!! Thanks for all that guys do for me!!!!!The Church is true!!!!!!!! Jesus Cristo é nosso Salvador!!!! Thomas s. Monson is a Profet of God!!!!!!! The Book of Mormon is True!!!!! Always say your prayers!!!!!!!!!! Amo Voces!!!!

ONE YEAR ALREADY!!! WOW

Transferencia di emergencia......... September 14, 2009

Caro Família,

so guess what the crap happened.... i got "emergency" transferred! oh joy. and not only that but i received a new calling... "Junior companion to District Leader!", actually i was already senior, but now i am a district leader. oh joy de novo. :) So yeah. i still haven't decided if i am excited to have all this new responsibility, but until now all is going good. i got transferred and received the calling on quinta feira. (umm.....thursday?) I got transferred to Nova Republica, that's right, my first area! so that is actually pretty cool. i already know that area and pretty much all the members. so that is good. and it is exciting to see the people that i baptized 10 months ago!
so on saturday i did my first baptismal interviews as a ld. it was pretty interesting, a pretty cool experience. so at least i like that part, but now i have to do splits with the other elders and give trainings on terça feira (umm.... tuesday), and i have to be the example so i have to baptize more than everyone else to. so it will be interesting.
unfortunately we didn't baptize yesterday. we had 4 people tudo firme until friday. then on saturday our homem said he couldn't go to church because a friend died, and on sunday a lady and her kid didn't go to church because the kid was sick. and the other one didn't pass the interview. so it really bites, but tambem it just means that we have a whole bunch for this week!
My comp is Elder Faverão. I am really liking him. he was senior for one week here and but then was released because of some fubeking (slaking off mais ou menos), and so was another District leader in the zone, so i got called and came over here. but My comp is still excited and wants to work. the most he has ever baptized on one sunday is 3, so i am going to see if i can't help increase that number.
so yeah, i lost the stress from the other wards, because of the transfer, and took on new stress because of the calling:)! que vida boa! (what a good life) :) but i hope that all will go smooth.
Wow, can you believe that one year has already passed by!!!! it is crazy!!!!! on thursday i am going to buy pizza for me and my comp to celebrate! The family that i baptized here opened a pizzaria, so i am excited to go and try it out. i also thought about buying a cake, but i'll probably just do one or the other.
oh and guess what, i finally have scriputers again!!! que coisa boa!!! so that is exciting! i have been spending this whole week just marking them all up, and today i am going to go into town to buy me a backpack. so that will be good. but other than that not much new is going on here. just a whole lot:)
and chanae, yes, i am sleeping in my rede (hammock) again!!! it rocks!
thanks for all of the love and support and for all the emails! i love you all so much!! the church is true!! Jesus Cristo is our Salvador e Redentor do Mundo!!! O livro De Mórmon é verdadeiro, e Thomas S. Monson é um profeta de Deus aqui na terra!!!! Eu Amo Voces!!!!! Have a great week!!!!

Falta um Ano!!!!!!! mwhahahaha! September 7, 2009

Hey familia,
so it sounds like the family reunion was a blast. it's good that i forgot about it or i would have been going crazy thinking about you guys.
so i am doing good. i still haven't had a chance to replace my scriptures yet and i am truly feeling their falt. but life goes on. and i just let my comp carry everything because i don't have a bag either. but its all good.
this week basically sucked. everything fell through. our investigators decided they didn't want anything more to do with the church, no one! went to church. (another sunday with 30 members at church), and the bishopric just sat around lecturing me, and our baptism fell through! oh joy! i was way stressed and frustrated last night, because of the stress at a family night with some members. i'm really stressed out with the two wards here. ever since i arrived here the first time 8 months ago neither one of the wards has changed. they haven't grown at all. if anything only decreased in members. so i am stressed because i want to help but i don't know how. all of my leaders in the mission are telling me to do one thing, but the bishoprics are telling me to do another. so i don't know what i will do.
sorry, this letter really sucks. as you can tell i have alot on my mind.
so yeah, one year from today i will be getting on the plane to go home!!! crazy huh! there is a new elder in our zone and i realized that when he makes one year in the mission i will be headed home! i'm getting old.
but other than that, not much new is going on here. so i hope all is well at home and that school is going well to. thanks so much for everything!! i love you all so much!!! i know that the church is true! Jesus Cristo is our Savior and Redeemer!!!! the book of mormon is true!!!! and Thomas S. Monson is a profet of God!!!!
I love you all!!! good luck with everything!!! and tell grandpa and grandma párabens (congrats) on the mission call!!! i am way excited for them!!

Transferencias.....August 31, 2009

Oí Família,

hey so how is everyone doing? whats new at the wilson round about? so guess what, this transfer i will hit the half way mark!!! in 1 year and 8 dias i will be in home!!! i already received the date i will go home because i have some friends in the staff and they told me. dia 7 de setembro i will be headed home!! and dia 8 i will be at home! legal neh!! anyways, i am doing good. we had transfers today. usually it is on wednesday but presidente cought everyone by surprise last night with the transfers. meu companheiro e eu stayed in the same area. and i am excited so that is good. with all of the stress that i get from this area i am still excited. i have some plans to see if i can get this ward moving, because it is just stopped. it has almost been 8 months since i arrived here the first time and the ward hasn't changed a bit. if anyhting it has lost members. which is really sad because i have already baptized more then 20 here, and that just me. so i hope we can get people excited.
So guess what happened. Yesterday i passed through a new experience that i never had in my life. I was assaulted! legal neh!? not really. i was doinga divisão with a member of the ward to take investigators to church, and when we were headed to the church a guy, about 23 yrs. old, stopped us and told us to hand over our bags. he was on a bike and showed that he had a "gun" under his pants. i didn't believe that he really had a gun and i told him that i wouldn't and started walking again, but then the member grabbed me, and scaired out of his mind told me we have to give them to him. so he handed over his bag and i just said that i wouldn't, because i didn't believe he had a gun and it was in the middle of the road 8 in the morning. and for this reason the guy was getting really anxious telling me to give it to him and the member was freaking out so i just gave him my bag. and the secound he grabbed it i remembered my camera was inside. then i started freaking out yelling at him to give me my camera. but then he took off on his bike. and then i started yelling in english, almost at the point of swearing i was so mad (don't worry, we didn't have investigators with us). but we returned home and luckily my camera was on the table! i was so relieved to not have lost all of my fotos! but it sucks because now i don't have a bag, and he stole my bible my triple, my foto album, and a bunch of baptism forms. so now i have to go back and do all of the forms again andbuy new scriptures and a bag. so basically it really sucks. so i will probably be getting money from my account this week to pay for everything okay.
but i'm pretty ticked that i gave him my bag, because i am positive that guy was lying. but nothing i can do now. pretty cool huh. here in Natal, satan is really working to get rid of the elders. 3 houses have already been robbed. 2 x with the missionaries sleeping at the time, and two churches have been robbed now. but it's because we are baptizing so many people. the north zone of the city has two zones, Pajuçara and Potengi, Pajuçara baptized 75 and Potengi baptized 78 in 5 weeks!! and the two stakes are getting close to divide. and i heard talk of a mission Natal Brasil opening here in one year! crazy huh, so it is possible that my mission could get moved in one year. pretty cool stuff is happening!!
yesterday we baptized 2 young men. one named alison with 15 yrs. and the other named ednan with 10 yrs. i already baptized the brother of ednan the first time i was here and now we just have to baptize the mom to have the whole family as members! and this week we have a man with 18 yrs that we are preparing to baptize! so we are pretty excited! wow, now that i have written a livro!
thanks for all that you guys do for me!! i love you all so much!!! hey, the next time you send a package, send a cd walk man (because mine died) and some fotos of the family, because now i don't have a whole lot. i still have a bout half but all the fotos of my last day at home and of the pics of the family together i lost, and half of the pics of chanaes wedding (freaking robber). but thanks for all!! i Know htat this is the true church of God!! Jesus Cristo is our savior and redeemer!!! I love you all!!!!

Nada De Mais......August 25, 2009

Oi familia,

Como está todo mundo? whats new? not much new is going on here. basically the same old stuff, work, work, work, and baptisms. oh and muito stress. but it's going good.
this week on saturday we baptized a woman named Débora. she has been going to church for more than a year now and was never baptized because she had 17 years and her mom wouldn't sign the form. but she made 18 yrs. in July and still wasn't baptized because she didn't like Elder Pereira. but me and my comp arrived there, and we talked to her and she wanted to be baptized! i was so excited because i had already talked to her mom about 4 times to let her be baptized, and when i left the area i was really sad to not be there for her baptism, but everything worked out and i was able to be there and be one of the missionaries who baptized her!
and then on sunday we baptized a rapaz with 10 yrs. his name is Vinicius. his tia and prima and 3 other primos are members of the church already and now we are trying to help his sister be baptized to. it was pretty sweet!
so remember when i was in this area before and how i was always stressed out. yeah, well now i remember why and how much i didn't like this area. áte this was my least favorite area, but things are a little bit better this time around, although i still get stressed out way easy, but the bishopric is working with us better and so that's good. i just have to get the ward to work now, actually both wards. usually the frequencia is about 60 to 70 people. which is really low, but on sunday it was 30! in both wards! how pathetic huh! nobody is doing anything here. i think that is what gives more stress. the bishopric in one ward are complete slackers, and nobody does there home teaching or visits or anything! man, my testimony has really grown about home teaching! it is so important, you wouldn't believe how important it is! it is really tough when the members don't want to work, after church we were asking and almost pleading some members to stay to watch the baptism so we could have a witness and people to sing the hymns. i was really frustrated, but luckily we have about 5 people that are supporting our cause. so everything worked out.
so i am going to send home pics of the baptisms this week and of my bday present that i bought. there is a member in João Pessoa that works with leather and i had him make me a cap for my Preach My Gospel. it is way xike! i think i'll have him make one for my bible to.
and we had a conference with Pres. yesterday so i will send a foto of our zone and some of the guys from the ctm.
Mom and Dad, thanks so much for the e-mails and for all of your love and support. I love you both so much! thanks for everything!
Chanae- hey sis, sorry i missed your bday. i didn't realize that it was so close. so sorry i missed it and Happy Late Birthday!!! so go and make another cake and eat a piece for me okay!!! I love you chanae!!!!
and Michael and Dallin- sup Bros!! hey hows high school life going? Whats new? I hope you guys have a great week and that all goes well in school! I love you both!!!
thanks for all everyone!!!! I love you all so much!!!! The Church is True and Jesus Cristo is our Salvador!!!!!!

11 Meses....August 17, 2009

Dear Família,

hey everyone, so whats going on back home. hows school going?
so this week you would not believe what happened. so after i sent an email to you guys last week we went to the center of natal and i bought a sweet soccer shirt and then we were headed back home when the asisstants called me and told me i was being transfered! Remember how i told you that the other area i passed in (cidade do sol) had been closed, well apparently the president of the stake went over there and layed into the bispado a little bit and then talked to presidente, and then Elder Lopes and Eu got transfered BACK to cidade do sol! can you believe it. i passed 5 months in this area already and now i am here again. man i was so freakin stressed out on monday, but i think it will work out okay. the bishopric is willing to work and help us out and the members were really happy to see missionaries in the ward again.
on saturday we baptized a man that had been going to church during the 3 weeks that the area was closed. his name is Fabiano, he is way cool and he basically taught us the first lesson! i was way impressed. the baptism was pretty sweet to. and this sunday we have 2 woman that we will baptize and young girl with her brother and 2 other young men! so i hope all will work out. we are pretty excited and we want to end this transfer with fogo.
quick question, did you guys get the other e-mail i sent last week, i sent 2 home with a bunch of pics. just curious.
today we had a pday with the zone and we played soccer. but now i have 2 huge blister on each foot! so this week will be fun to walk around.
so i will send home some pics of the baptism this week and some from 2 weeks ago because the pic is way legal and i don't know if you guys recieved the pics or not.
well i guess thats about it for this week. not much more is going on here. good luck with school michael and dallin (dang i'm freakin old, a senior and a sophmore!). and i hope everyone has a great week! I love you all!!

Sup....August 10, 2009

Dear Família,

this week was okay, i was the whole week long because we have been working like crazy, and i decided to go running saturday morning which killed my legs. so now i am even more tired! :) but i am doing good.
yesterday we baptized a young man named Elcimar, he has 17 yrs. He's a little crazy, but he passed the interview just fine so we baptized him. it was pretty sweet!
so not a whole lot happened this week. my comp hit his hump day mark and so he made a cake ( i told him to just buy a cool one, but he decided to spend the same money and make one! brillant right?) the cake was actually not bad, but it was freakin ugly! hahaha, i'll have to send a foto! and in one more week i will hit 11 months! almost one year, so now i can almost start counting down and not up! crazy huh!
oh i will also send the fotos from last week to, because it is pretty sheiky! so other then that not alot is happening. today we will go to the center of natal and eat come açai (a shake made from a fruit called açai! best thing in the world!!) and maybe i'll be some cool futebol shirts!
dang, so sorry this is so short, I hope you guys have a great week! it sounds like lagoon was a blast!
At a boy michael and dallin!! go and get those s, hey and get some to write me to! :)
thanks for all the letters to! i received a bunch of cartas azul! it was pretty sweet! please tell everyone thanks and that it was great to hear from them all!

Can you say 6?!.....August 3, 2009

Hey Família!
how is everyone at home doing? thanks for all the emails! it is great to hear from everyone and know what is going on back home.
so this week was pretty good but i am glad that it is over because i am and was stressed out de mais!!! (to much). so this week we baptized 6 jovens! it was pretty sweet!!! it was the most that i have baptized in a week! and in 2 weeks we have already baptized 10! we baptized 6 and the other dupla baptized 3! so the foto this week is even cooler than last week!! but unfortunately i forgot my to bring my camera. sorry. i even forgot my money today but my comp said he´d hook me up. so i will have to send the foto next week. but i am already stressed about this week because we only took 1 investigator to church. so we have to work like crazy this week to try to find more people to teach and prepare for baptism. but we have about 3 people that we can baptize this week. we just have to tirar there doubts and pray that they will have the desire to be baptized.
so all is going good with my comp. he likes to work hard so i am glad about that. some days we have been waking up early to study earlier so we could leave earlier to teach more people. this week alone we taught more than 40 lessons, and usually a dupla teaches 20 in a week. but we did splits to so that helped us teach so many. My comp is a little wierd though. but all he talks about is g irls and i am constantly telling him to shut up, especially because brazilians aren't shy about saying anything! but at least we are working hard. so our baptisms.. we baptized 3 young woman 2 y.m. and a primary boy that loves church! (i taught him how to say your crazy and now he just runs around saying it! its pretty funny) their names are Maricia, with 16 yrs., her sister mikyelly with 14yrs., oseane (rosy) with 15yrs., david w/ 13yrs. and antonio w/ 13 yrs. and Denilson w/ 11yrs.
so you can you believe it will make 11 months this month! only one more year and i am in Casa!! that is crazy that one year has almost passed by already!
so that is pretty sweet that you guys will put grass in the backyard finally! que pena that i am not there to help! :) hahaha.... but i'm sure that i will enjoy it when i get home!
Hey chanae! those pics are pretty sweet! thanks for the email! i hope you know i was just kidding you about never emailing me:) but it worked neh, you emailed me! ;) so are you still at tuacahn? whats bryce been up to these days?

Transfers, Chamados, Batismos.. July 27, 2009

Dear familia,

Thanks for all of the e-mails!! it was great to hear from all of you! Sorry but this e-mail will probablay be a little short today, i am short on time.
so i got transfered. back to natal, and actually back to the same zone. if you remember, i was in the ward cidade do sol with elder pereira, well presidente closed the area because they were still having problem with the bishop and e. pereira and his comp started working in potengi, (which already had a companionship there). so i got transfered to Potengi as senior companhion and i am with Elder Lopes, who was comp with elder pereira just barely. so i basically just returned to where i was. but we had to start from nothing. because there is already a dupla here, so we were running like crazy to get a teaching group and find baptisms. and guess what, we found 4! my first sunday as senior and 4 baptisms. it was pretty sweet!! i am sending home a bunch of pics, one is with us four missionaries and all of our baptisms (the other couple had 3 baptisms) it is an awesome foto!
we baptized a girl named Deuse (daisy) with 15 yrs, and two young men with 14 and 13 yrs, Danilo and DuDú, and a 11 yr old boy, lucas. and this next week we already have 2 firme for baptism! with a few other possibles. so it will be sweet!
Well thanks for everything! i'll go home now and make up some cake! thanks for evreything! i love you all!!! the church is true!!!!

Elder Wilson!!!

p.s. that pic of my birthday party was freaky hilarious! and the cake looked pretty dang good!!

p.s.s. so its true.. chanae still exists!!! i hadn't recieved a letter from her for so long i thought she had fallen of the face of the earth!.. Just Kidding chanae!!!!! i just thought i'd let you know i love you!!:)

10 Mezes!!!.....July 13, 2009

Caro Família,

First of all I want to thank all you guys for the e-mails you sent me! this week has been a little rough, interview with the President and a few stresses with my comp, but it always lighten my spirits when i get an e-mail from all of you! so thank you so much! i am already feeling way better.
so this week, like i said, was stressful and crazy. But Good because we had a baptism on wednesday! We baptized Darci. so now we just have to work with the dad of this family and we will have baptized the entire family. but like i´ve said he will take alot of work to help him realize the importance of baptism and to change somethings in his life. but i hope and pray that the Lord will help him and us. so a really funny thing happened at the baptism with some brownies but you guys will have to wait another week because i wrote it all in a letter to send home today.:) so i hope you don't die from the excitement and waiting(?). (i don't remember the word i want to use).
so i am going to send a whole bunch of fotos home. i think 10. some of us by one of the beachs in our area, and of the baptism.
so YES!!! there is a Pizza Hut in my mission! one to be exact! and it is really close to my area, In João Pessoa. so we went the other day. i payed for my comp and another elder and they payed me back afterwards. the only thing is that it is a freakin 20 reais for buffet. it is the exact same crust but they have different styles of pizza here. the only thing that is the same is the pepperoni and the cheese. but its good!
and the water is not in our house, it is in the road. i took the pic from our house which is higher than the road because of this problem. and no it's not mold on the outside wall, just the crappy paint here is peeling away. the paint here is really really crappy! like seriously! it's weird!
so we went to the hospital the other day to visit a little g irl from our ward that is sick. and i realized how young the north east really is. the hospital here in Cabedelo is horrible! i think i would leave more sick then when i entered. it is way sad. it is like a first world country type of thing, but a little better. i couldn't believe it, i felt so bad for the people there. it made me realize how good of a life we have back home! and how grateful i am! we also found a favela(sorry don't remember the word) by the beach, and the houses there are basically made out of drift wood and what ever the people can get there hands on. it is so sad. i couldn't believe people where living there. my eyes were opened alot this week! we are such a blessed family!! you have no idea! our everyday life is so good compared to some of these people here!!
Dad- so i forgot that lazarus wasn't ressurected. just brought back from the dead, along with the other two people. It is really interesting when you start to study about the Plan of Salvation and all that our Father has done for us! the Plan is so perfect! everyone is capable of returning to live with our Father again. we just hvae to make the choice! how marvalous!! i love this church!!! this gospel is so amazing!!!!
thank you everyone for everything!!! thanks for the package!!!!! i am excited to open my presents next week!!! thank you so much for everything!! i Love you guys so much!!!! Your the best family ever!!!!! Good luck with all!!!!!!! My prayers are always with you guys!!!!

Eai Gringo!.....July 6, 2009

Hey Família, so how is everyone doing in the wonderful weather up there? hahaha 100 freakin degrees!!!! I'm doing ok, it is raining alot here! In cabadelo they don't have a good drainage system, so if it starts to rain really hard the roads start to flood!! on saturday it started to rain about 4 in the morning and when we woke up at 6:30 the road in front of our house had more than a foot of water!!! and when it came time to leave at 10:30 it was still raining! so we rolled up our pants, carried our shoes and left wading through the water! in some places the water was almost over my knees!!! but about 2 blocks later we were able to put on our shoes again. our house sits in a bowl basically, so we get a ton of water. so this week i found out that cabedelo is surrounded by beach on three sides!!! and it is all pretty close to our house! in the early morning (when it's not raining) i can here the waves crashing on the beach! its pretty cool! So we already Baptized Tamara's little brother Bruno. he was my first baptize in this area. and on wednesday we will Baptize her Mom, Darçi! we are way excited! so you will receive a letter telling you a little bit more about Tamara and her dad. Basically he just likes to drink and spend time with his friends. but on saturday we had a family home evening at there house and we got the oppurtunity to teach him the first lesson!! it was a miracle!!! and he accepted to read and to pray!!!! Miracles are really happening in that house! in the past he chased the missionaries away, but now he is slowly accepting us! One day this guy will be baptized!!! I know it!! It would be so cool if I am here, but all in the lords time!! so we let the person getting baptized chose who will baptize them, and until now i haven't baptized anyone so we don't have a problem with the pants, but if i get the oppurtunity then i will use a jumpsuit from the church. and as for my other clothes, all is good. everything is holding up so don't worry about it. so i will send fotos of Bruno, tamara and the rain. and some of me and my comp with a caracater(?) that Tamara drew of us. its pretty funny! For the most part everything is going good. I am just waiting for this transfer to end because my comp is me. He doesn't really want to work (mainly because he is going home in a month and a half), so i am just doing what i can and putting up with him. it is really stressful and annoying and depressing because i want to work. i am happiest when we are working, but when my comp doesnt want to it makes everything so much harder. we could be baptize everyweek, but you have to work hard to do that in this area, and just one working doesn't get the job done. but all will work out. My biggest problem now is just staying focused and not let his lazyiness rub off on me. But i know the Lord will help me if i do my part. Send my love to the peterson family. tell them i am praying for them. I love you all so much and am so gratefull for all your love and support! Thanks for being an awesome family!! The church is True!!! Jesus Cristo is our Savior and this is his Church!! The Book of Mormon is the word of God!!! and Thomas S. Monson is the Profet of God!!! I love You all so much!!!! Que Pena....MJ Morreu:).....June 29, 2009

Família!!!!!!

So another week has passed by... finally! this week was dragging on like crazy and i have no idea why. But a new week is here! So what's new with you guys? besides Dallin being sick? :)
Whats this crap about everybody getting freaking married!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, this sucks!!!! I'm going to return home and everyone will be married with three kids!!!!! Crap dude. whats with everyone.... :) Tell Derek Congrats! and tell Matt Congrats also! So who is mandi?
Hey hey, did you guys hear that Michael Jackson Died!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) man, everyone has been asking me if i know yet. they say.. hey are you american? yes. did you know Michael Jackson died? yup!!!!!!! hahaha :) and now everyone is playing his music in the streets. every once in a while we catch a good song of his:)
so on Saturday we baptized a g irl named Tamara! it was way cool!! she has 15 yrs and is way firme!!! we told her to start reading the bom from the beginning last week and she is already in the book of mosiah! she already passed me up. I am way excited about her. today i sent a letter telling a little more about her and her family because her dad is basically a drunk that doesn't give any attention to his family. she was almost crying at her baptism because her dad hadn't showed up, but luckily he showed up just in time. But on domingo she was way happy and excited to receive the holy ghost!
one thing i always like to do is ask the baptized how they feel after the baptism. when i asked Tamara she stopped and thinked for a second and then said that she felt Light! It was really cool, the spirit was really strong! I have really enjoyed teaching her because she truly wants to know the truth and follow!! at the start she had so many questions! but that's what helps people stay strong in the gospel! asking and learning!!!
I would send a foto but this crappy computer doesn't have a place to plug in my camera. oh yes mom, a pen drive is a flash drive, i just forgot the name because here it is a pen drive:)
So Dad, that was really interesting what you said about the scripture. I hadn't thought the wicked also have to ressurect. as we know, everyone will resurrect because of the mercy of Cristo.. so,hmm. I dunno I'll have to think and study some more. and Adam and Eve broke the commandment to not eat the fruit, they gave in to temptation and chose for themselves to eat. but the law they broke i'm not sure, I'll have to study more about the fall.
Well everyone, I love you all!!! the church is true!! Jesus is the Cristo!!!! and the Book of Mormon is the Word of God!!! I love you!!!!!!

sup Família!

so how is everyone today? How is the day going? So what did Dad get for his bday and Fathers day? so Dad´s b-day is today?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!!! FELIZ ANNIVERSARIO!!!!
so today was a good day. Pres. got the 3 zones here in João pessoa together to have a p-day. we played a few games and then we went and soccer! it was awesome! so as you guys know, i'm not much one for soccer, or i wasn't:) It is really a cool sport. I almost have more fun watching the brazilians play then playing myself! they are so freakin good! it's amazing what they can do with their feet while they are running! Today i was playing with them and i made a goal! I almost made 2 but the second hit the side of the goal. (oh yeah, my goal won the game!) I had quiet a few Brasileiros compliment me on my game, so that was cool. But now i am way sore! because that was the first time i actually played a sport since the ctm. But it was good. we basically arrived in our area right now, oh and i took out more money tonight because we are out and we still have to go back to João Pessoa tomorrow for the conferencia.

so this week on saturday we are going to baptize a g irl named Tamara, the sister of Bruno, the rapaz we baptized last sunday. She is way cool and way firme in her testimony! I am way excited! It will be awesome! and I hope we can Baptize another woman we are working with on sunday!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE PACKAGE!!!! i am way excited to try out the pizza mix! thank you so much! and the candies are way good! when i saw the strawberry candies the first thing i thought of was the bag of candy we had for Years under the cupboard in the laundry room!! and Didn't Grandma and Grandpa Campbell give them out to? anyways!!! thanks so much!!! and the stickers are pretty cool!!
You sold the Boat!!! Que Coisa Chato! that stinks! in the middle of summer to:) que pena... now you guys can't go to the lake with out me!!! hahahahahahaha!!!!!!! :) or you can.. but you don't have the boat! well family, i just want to say that i love you guys so much and i am thankful for all that you guys do for me!! Gotta Crap?.....June 15, 2009

Hey Family, so how is it staying home alone? do you have a whole bunch of good crap to eat?:) so i am really liking my new area. the ward here wants to work and it looks like a good area to find people to teach and baptize! so i am excited for this. but my comp doesn't really like to work. so i am already stressed about how i am going to help him out so we can work more. but other than this not much is going on. Oh, so our freaking house is filled with freaking piece of crap mosquitos! :) they really suck. i have been using that repellent like crazy and we bought some weird thing at the store to scare them off during the night, which works a little bit. so that was good. Dang, sorry guys, i really don't have alot to talk about today. so how was/is your trip to Canada? is it really cold? so what the crap is this, your gonna sell the boat?! (again) dang, that sucks, especially because it is the middle of summer. :) so i will send a whole bunch of letters today, so just to give you a heads up. and i will be sending a memory card home full of pics! i think it has more then 300. so i hope and pray that it will arrive safely! so say a prayer for the memory card! Hey mom, there is a member here that wants a pocket size book of mormon and he said that he would pay me, so if there is room with my pants could you send one. he would like it in Portugues, but if they don't have it then in spanish, and if nothing else, english. Thank you:) Well dang, like i said, i don't have a lot to write. sorry. I Love you all!! I hope that you guys have a great week! I know the church is true!!! Jesus Cristo is our savior and redeemer!!!! The Book of Mormon is true!!! and We all are Children of our Heavenly Father!!! I love you all!! thanks for all the e-mails!!! Love your son, bro e Elder, Elder Wilson

Transfers........June 10, 2009

Sup Family,

so guess where the crap i am.. Cabedelo! it is in the other state, Paraiba. it is about 45 min away from João Pessoa. so yes, i got transferred:) My new comp is Elder Amado (Elder Beloved). he seems pretty cool. he is a Lider de distrito. so we'll see how this transfer goes. I'm pretty excited, a little sad because i had to leave my baptisms but excited to get to know new people and a new place. this was Elder Pereira's first area, so he told me a little about it already. so far i am liking it, except there are mosquitos here com força! so put on the bug spray!
thanks for sending the wedding pics!!! Wow, chanae is way beautiful! It was cool to see the whole family in front of the temple! so thanks!
so on sunday we baptized two s, they are cousins to the family that we married and baptized! it was pretty sweet!
so i am excited for this transfer, i've decided to make some changes and really get to work so i can get called for the next transfer. the thought today popped in my mind and i got excited and thought of being senior, when in the past i just felt stressed out, so we'll see what happens. but i'm excited for this transfer, it should be good!
so mom, actually i do need something, not right away, but it would be good have... my white baptismal pants got stolen, and so it kinda sucks, we left them in the boys bathroom after the baptism of our family and returned sunday night to get them and mine and Elder pereira's pants were gone, along with the white jump suit!? some people are weird. so yeah, and, maybe dad will know, but the humidity is my quad:( do you know of something i can put on the leather to help it.and also, i was wondering if you could send me a pen drive, thanks!
well, i really don't have whole lot to write about today. sorry about that.

so i am sending a foto of the baptism and a few others. Enjoy!
so the other day we were teaching a man and he had a ton of questions. so we would answer one and then bear testimony. and i could see in his eyes that he was feeling the spirit, but he just didn't want to accept it. but the cool thing was that the spirit was so strong with us that every single question he asked we had an answer! it is amazing how the spirit works!
I love you all so much!! I know that this is the true Church!! Jesus Cristo is our Savior and Redeemer!!! The book of mormon is the word of God!!! Be sure and read evryday!!! I love you all so much!!!!

Sup Familia.......June 1, 2009

Eae Família! (whats up family) So how was everyones week? How was EFY? How was Mom's week home alone? So whats new, besides Karl being freaking married! Man, i can't believe that karl is married! It's so weird!!! Be sure and tell him Congrats! I'm really excited for him! so he married into the cox family huh, Amy and Tyler Cox right? isn't tyler on a mission right now?... anyways.. I can't believe you guys went freakin boating with out me! man, and that michael and dallin will go to Lake Powell with out me!! "agh.. It's trunking me out of my mind!".. just kidding:) so this week was crazy.. we were working like crazy trying to find investigators and people to baptize! on tuesday we marked 3 baptisms for this sunday (because they have all gone to church a bunch of times before) and then by saturday they all fell through. so that basically sucked because this week we didn't baptize. But we found a g irl on thursday, taught her on saturday, and then took her to church sunday! and she is way cool!! an Elect! so we will work to baptize her and her brother this sunday! oh yeah, this coming week will be transfers so i will e-mail on wednesday, and it will probably be from a different place because i almost have certainty (?) that i will be transfered. soo... just to give ya a heads up. oh, ya know what is sad, today me and my comp were talking and he asked me how to say snow cone in english, it took me almost half an hour to remember how to say snow cone! pathetic huh! it was pretty funny! oh yeah, i was wondering if you could send me some more pepto bismal:) i was way sick on thursday and friday and used the last of it. but don't worry i'm doing way better. and dad, don't worry about sending more shoes, because i really don't need more shoes:) these will last for quiet a while:) but thanks anyways! so how is the new tube!? it looks like its a lot of fun! does it send you flying like the other one that we saw? is the water really cold still, if soo, get over it! my shower is colder! :) so chanae, will you be doing the same thing at tuacahn again? selling tickets? thats cool? so how is the married life coming along? so do you guys go home to eat cornbread every sunday? is it because your to lazy to make it at home? :)jk! well dang.. i'm running out of things to type, this sucks.. hang on.... hmm... so grandma and grandpa will leave for there mission quando? and it'll only be for 18 months right? freak, so i was thinking about how you said that tyler would be home in 8 months. that is way crazy! i didn't think that he had left that long before me. 2/3 of his mission is already gone! and 1/3 of my mission is already gone! Porcaria!!!! it's passing so dang fast. so I kinda hope i get transferred. I can't decide. this area has its good things and its stressfull things. but i thing i am leaning a little bit more towards leaving, because i want to get to know another area and more people, but i also have a bunch of friends in this area. dang, transfers kinda suck. but what are ya gonna do? :) Hey, so how is Master Plumbing doing? is Brad still in business or did he have to close down? so on thursday we are going to a member less actives house to do some work. they are redoing there bathroom so maybe i'll get to use some of my master plumbing skills.. yeah...:) it should be cool! something different:) well family, now i really am just rambling so i'll end this book for today:) I hope that all is well at the Wilson round about. tell everyone hi for me and that I love them! and you guys and grandma and grandpa wilson, gubler and campbell should be recieving a letter soon. that is if you haven't already gotten them. Well I love you all family!!! I know that the Church of Jesus Cristo of Latter Day Saints is the only true church aqui na terra!! and that Jesus is the Cristo! Our Savior and Redeemer!!! The Book of Mormon is the Word of God!!! I know that Joseph smith Truly saw God the Father and Jesus Cristo!!!! I am so gratefull for my savior and for my oppurtunidade to repent of my sins and do better every day! I love you all and pray for you all daily that the Lord will bless you all!!!! Be suer and read the Book of Mormon everyday!!!! set a goal to read it everyday for one week!! and I'll check up with you guys next week to see if you did it!:) I love you all!!!!!!

Dogs!!!!!!!!!.....May 25, 2009

Sup Família!!!!
how is everyone doing today? Man, it's wierd to think that michael and dallin went to efy with out me... sad..:) But i'm in better place:) Missão Brasil João Pessoa!!!
so guess what happened this week... I was so ticked when it happened.... so i decided to start wearing my new shoes the day of our wedding, and they are awesome! thanks alot mom!! but guess what happened.... on friday, we went to the house of our newly weds... and they have about 4 dogs that run around there. and one of the bigger dogs is Way protective of a little female dog (at the time i didn't know this:). so i petted the bigger dog first then went to pet the little one. and the bigger dog started to growl but I just pushed him aside like you would with fofinho then he growled again and bit my shoe. My New Shoes! luckily these shoes are pretty thick so he didn't get my foot, but he left about 3 good scratches in the leather so the shoe isn't as nice as it was. Man i was so ticked!! but that's just the start... after we left we were headed for our other area, we crossed a big avenue and then started walking along the road. (it had been raining all day long..) and then a big bus passed by and spread me with water and mud! I was drenched and extremely frustrated and ticked! luckily we were only 3 minutes from home. so we returned home and i changed clothes. and then to finish off my day, we passed by another investigator that night and then another dog got my other foot! but luckily this was a small dog and he didn't do anything to my shoe. so now i have a dog story for the mission. but don't worry, my shoe is just a little ugly now, i buffed it up so it's not as bad, i'm just bummed about it now. but don't worry, they are still good to walk with and all. and no mom, water doesn't enter in my shoe:)
so dallin's foto was pretty dang funny:) the one with his hair cut looks like a mug shot:) I still think he needs a hair cut though:) but at least its a lot better for efy:) so Mom, if you talk to mikey or dall while they are there tell them to find some girls to write me!!! or better yet, txt mikey and tell him because he is with the older girls:) and i'm serious:) and i want to know how many digits they get this year! did mikey take another cool shirt?
so who is this chick of Karl's that i'm hearing about? how the crap did he meet her!? she must be awesome if Karl is going to get married to her. send a foto of them or something and tell him parabéns!
so Yesterday we baptized a 10 yr old cousin of a yw in our ward! His name is Mateus! Elder Pereira baptized him! it was flippin sweet!!! and yesterday was stake conference, and the stake center is the chapel of my first area. so we arrived and it turned out that my old ward had a regular sunday so i saw everyone!!! and all but 4 of my baptisms are still firm in the church!! i was way sad to hear that 3 ym and a man have fallen away but was way excited to see everyone else!! i also talked to the family i baptized there!!! It was so Cool!! and the Young man, Erik, stayed with me through the conference! He said that he had prayed to Heavenly Father to see me yesterday!! I was so excited and happy to talk to him!! he wants to serve a mish and go to utah to see me!! He is awesome!! it is so great to see that people are staying strong in the church!! I am so Happy that so many are still going!!!
Happy birthday Michael!!!!!!!!!!! mister big 17!!! crap dude!!! your old!! I'm old!! chanaes old!!! hahaha..
Well family, that's about it for me. I love you all so much!!! I know that this is the church of our Savior Jesus Cristo!!! He is the Head of this church!!! the other day i finished the book of mormon and took moroni's promise again and i have even more assurity in my heart that the Book of Mormon is the word of God!!!! Jesus Cristo is the savior of the world! and through his atonement we can repent of our sins and live with him again some day!!!! I love this gospel and this mission!! it is truly the best thing i have ever done!!!! I love you all!!!!!!

Wazup!!...............May 11, 2009

Hey everyone!

So how is everyone doing this fine Monday morning? anything new from yesterday? All is well here. Yesterday was awesome! I was so excited to talk to all of you and hear how you are all doing! but also, yesterday was a little sad.. our baptism fell through. the mom of Daniel, a 18 yr ym, doesn't like the church and she was talking a bunch of crap to him. so that pretty much sucks. we went 10 weeks in a row baptizing, but we already have 3 for sure this week! so we are still excited! We just about have everything planned out for the wedding. just have a few more details to figure out ....buy lunch..... and make sure the clothes will fit the groom! so we are pretty excited!! and last night we taught another family the first lesson and they excepted the baptismal invite and so we are also going to get them married and baptized! we have 3 families in our group that we need to marry to baptize them, counting the one family right now! but i will probably be transferred before the other families get baptized:( but all's good!
so mom, yes you can send the dvd of the wedding, no problems. and actually i did think of something else i could use, a green pencil to mark my scriptures and a red one:) and also a face wash, my other one is out and i have yet to see one here worth buying, that won't brake me:) and just a side note, if you do decide to send those books my comp asked it would be good to get them sent soon because i will probably be transferred here in 4 weeks. but i'll make sure they get to him anyways.
so bryce, i was thinking about your question about tracting yesterday and i don't know if my answered made sense. basically we do at least 10 contacts everyday. and we do them when we are walking to other appointments because usually our days are full of appointments that we don't set time aside just for tracting. so we don't set a goal for how many hours we tract, but how many people we contact.
So is everybody excited for school to end? it's getting close. are we doing the hurry run and get your grades up thing yet?:) and Congrats on the eagles!!!! you guys will do the court of honor this week or next week?
Chanae and Bryce, so you guys think it will be how long until i'm an uncle?:) because you know. i could be an uncle before i get home;) I still have a 1 yr. and 4 months:) hahahaha... jk:) but serious!
