good now, it is really hard but i love it! it is a really beautiful language! and the Lord is truly helping me!

Sup.....March 30, 2009
Olá Família,
So how is everyone this fine and beautiful day? whats everybody up to? what else is new around the block?
thanks for all the e-mails!!! I loved them!! oh and tell Kendrek congrats!! or Parabéns!!!!
so this week was really interesting. It is really good to have a brasilion comp because it is helping my portueguese alot! and he is a good missionary, he wants to baptize every week (as do i) but he said if you want to baptize every week you have to work with the young men and the primary children. and here i disagree. first of all it is good to work with the young men to help with the priesthood, but when you start teaching them, you can already tell if they will stay firm or not. and the ym we were working with this week i already new that they wouldn't and so i was hesitant to work with them, but in the end none of them went to church anyways sooo, and with the primary we have rules, like they have to have a family member thats a member with more then 19 yrs or go to church for 2 months. and we have some primaries that we are working with which is good, but personally i would rather work with the men and families and young men that really want to go because it is more likely for them to stay strong in the church. so basically what i want to say is i don't agree with a lot of things, but we are going to baptize alot this transfer so thats exciting. sorry for the rambling. so this past week i was more or less senior. because i had to teach my comp the area, it was really interesting because our area is huge. but we only got lost a few times. :)
on Sunday we baptized a 9 yr old named Taize! it was pretty cool. her grandma was really emotional. she has alot of family in the Church but her dad isn't and he finally let her get baptized! but other then that it was just another week. i am learning alot of patience to:) but it will be good.
Dad e Mom- yeah i have noticed how the lord is helping me alot with the language! i am really grateful for his help because there is no way i would be able to talk how i am with out Him. my comp and alot of other people say that i am talking really good for how much time i have. and i can basically understand everything. the lord is truly blessing me! and just so ya know mom i didn't lose my camera :) i just forgot it at home that day. but i am sending more pics today! and i am finally going to do that thing you sent me forever ago:)

mikey- dude, your a freakin jerk! go to a concert with out me! jk:) that is so cool!!!! i am way jealous!!! when i get home we are definitely going to a ton of concerts! thats way cool though, but sad about the guitar, but cool at the same time!:)
dallin- sup buddy! how was your week? did you go to the concert with mikey? how is the running going? keep me updated okay! and congrats on jazz band dude!!! wow, now you just need to kick mikey in the butt and get him in there:)

Transfers, trunkeza, and baptism:) ....March 25, 2009
Oi Família!!!!!
tudo bem? so this week was good. a little different but good all the same. so if you remember i was "killing" my comp, Elder Maxfield this transfer. his last week was rough, at least for me. because he was really trunky to go home and not really excited to work. but we baptized on saturday! (sorry no foto this week because i don't have my camera) the baptism was awesome! and we worked enough to get another baptism prepared for this week to.
so on monday morning my comp left for João Pessoa to meet up with his parents and i stayed with the zone leaders. and it just so happens that one of the zone leaders is going home to and he is even trunkier then my comp. but it was a good experience to work with them these past two days, although it sucked to because i never returned home and didn't get a chance to work in my area. but alls well.
so today is day of transfers. of course i stayed in my area, and my new comp is elder pereira, Brasileiro!!! finally, so i am excited! i am still waiting for him to get here, he is coming from the other state, Paraiba. I heard that he is a really good missionary and that we'll baptize alot so i am excited!! SO BATIZA!!!!! (just baptize:)
so i had an idea for you guys for a family night or something. in preach my gospel chp. 6 it talks about the attributes of Christ, and at the end of the chapter it has an activity, a evaluate yourself activity. but when i was in the ctm, with my district we did this, one elder would go through and talk about each elder and which attributes he had. it was really cool and really spiritual. (do you understand?) so it is an idea, look it over, also the chapter is really good to read.
so dad, first of all thanks for the thought. It is really interesting. because i have felt like that many times. thanks, it's pretty cool. question, why are alot of planes crashing. i just heard last night that another plane crashed. i think it was in japan or china. just curious.:) oh, and who is Miranda Walters? it's not the walters from tooele?
Chanae- 44 days!!! holy crap sis! thats freakin close!! so what day exactly will you get married? and another thing, your picture is very beautiful! I have a very very beautiful sister!!! :) i am very excited for you and Bryce!!!!!
Mom- thanks for all the e-mails!!! I loved them!!!! and yes, the inserts are awesome! and thanks for sending another package! you know it really isn't necessary:) i don't want you guys to feel obligated to send me packages (just letters a little bit:)).
Michael- so it sounds like you had a good spring break! thats awesome! so how is the band coming along, you guys doing more music? :) go ahead and use the guitar and bike all you want:) i just want to use them when i get home to:) so why are you using the bike alot, don't have money for gas:) did you find a job yet? love you bro!!!!!
Sup Dilly Dally Dolly- so how is mister x? whats new besides school startin back up? have any more little g irly friends i need to know about:) hahaha, so dad kicked your butt in bball huh:) sounds like you need to start playing again. be sure and shoot some hoops for me. Man, i havent played in forever! I'm going crazy!! i think i am going to buy a basketball just so i can bounce it around the house!

6 mezes!!!......March 16, 2009
Oí tudo Mundo!
How is everyone? Are you enjoying your first day of spring break? thanks for all the e-mails! and i am glad to hear that michaels wallet arrived safely:) sorry, it is a little big:). I'm also glad to hear that we still have the boat:)
So today is exactly 6 months from the day that i left home! Crazy huh! i have a really ugly tie that i got from an investigator in my other area that i am going to burn tonight! so i will send pics of that next week!
Yesterday we baptized a young woman (she is 20yrs old) named Cintia. Her parents were really against her joining the church, so much that sunday morning she decided to not get baptized. but thankfully she decided to follow her feelings and get baptized! she has great faith, because that is a really hard decision! I am very grateful for her! it was a really cool meeting! other then that this week has been kinda normal, nothing real different happened. today has been kinda a crappy day, i'm not feeling to good. basically just a stomach ache, but it sucks.
Dad, yeah i really liked the scripts you sent me! they were really cool! I love finding all these principles in the book of mormon! its like moses says(or maybe its 2 nefi.. crap i cant remember... but you know the one) men are that they might have joy.. something to that extent. and when we are keeping the commandments God blesses us with the things that we need and want! so we can be happy! I love it! it really is cool! countless times 2nd nefi and alma say that if we keep the commandments we will prosper in the land! what a great promise! i love it!
so mom, i found out that they do have baking powder here, so i will check and see if they have baking soda. but thank you so much for the recipes! i'm exciting to make some caramel popcorn!
Dallin, congrats on your races! so you beat kendrek in one eh! thats pretty cool dude! keep up the good work buddy!

Hello Everyone!!
so i finally got the package and a bunch of letters from january and a few from february!!! thank you so much!!!! I love the package and everything in it!!!! and thank you so much for the brownie mix! i am totally stoked to make brownies!! my comp also got a package and so we are doing pretty good at home. he got a box of instant pancakes so we have been eating that up, and when it is gone i will make Real pancakes! oh, i also got a small package from Loye and Ryan! I got more Brownies!!! and a bunch of valentines!! so please tell them thank you for me, i will send a letter to but that takes for ever to get there!
so the foto is a of a young man named Jefferson. He has 21 years i think. we baptized him on saturday! it was pretty cool! and this week we have a woman, sei la, she has 20 yrs., marked to be baptized and another young woman (17 yrs) marked for the following week. but we also have quite a few people in are group that are possible just not marked yet! so we are working hard to baptize before my comp goes home.
so Elder Maxfield is from south Jordan. his mom is the dance instructor of the Byu cougarettes. cool huh. hum, yeah, he goes home here in 2-3 weeks. he only has 2 more weeks of working and the final week his family will come here to pic him up and he will visit the mission and everything.
oh, mom, so if you do send another package (that is if you haven't sent it yet), a good thing is deoderant, just because the deoderant here isn't that great and some black shoe laces because they are hard to find here. but i don't Need them. it's just if you do send one. and also i don't want you guys spending money on me when you have a wedding to pay for. :) oh, and could you e-mail me your recipe for caramel popcorn(that is if it isn't to difficult) and for chocolate chip cookies. thanks!

Mission Pics ......March 2, 2009
Here are some pictures of our adventure today. we went to an old fort here in Natal called the fort of the three wise men (?) don't ask me why:) and also some fotos of the beach and the ocean that i can't walk on or swim in, I got to walk next to the beach and look at the ocean! It was really cool! And of the city of Natal from far away ish:) enjoy:)

Como vocês estão? I t sounds like everyone is doing good and i hope that that is true? So the weather is getting warmer huh, well here it is freakin hot! Generally the days aren’t to bad, except when it rains. Now don’t get me wrong, because I love the rain, but the thing that really sucks is after it rains and the sun comes out and it is so freakin humid! Man, you wouldn’t believe it!
So this week we baptized a woman named Salomé. She is way cool! Her first time in church she bore her testimony! And the baptismal meeting was so cool! The spirit was so strong! Wow, it was way cool! This week we have one baptism marked but I'm hoping we will have 3, possibly 4! So I am praying a lot this week that all will work out! The one that is marked is a man named Jefferson, and then we have a woman that is 20 yrs old and we just need to be a little more firm with her and we also have a primary boy that has been going to church a lot and his cousin is a member and she told us yesterday he wasn’t baptized, and we have the mom of the bishop. she is going to be a little harder but she has also had quite a few signs that this is the true church and so she just needs to make the decision now. So I really hope all will work out!
So yes, every Sunday I have 6 hrs of church:). But its no biggy. And with the money thing, I only took out 60 reis, and there was an 8 rei fee. I did this because I was out of money and all of the stores with atm’s to get the mission money were closed because of Carnaval. And with the exchange rate and the fee, that is probably why it came out to be something weird on the other end.
I also forgot, with the pics. I sent one of my lunch one day, a grilled cheese sandwich and it has the symbole of baptism on it in catchup, and there is another where the orcs from the lord of the rings are attacking me:) it was a poster at the fort we went to today. Oh yeah, we went to a fort here in Natal for our pday. It was pretty cool. Got to walk next to the beach and look at the ocean! It was really cool!
So that is really sad about Larry H. Miller. That was this week? So who is the owner of the jazz? That is Awesome that they are doing good! Are they as good as last year? Or better?
And thanks for the pics!!! Hahaha!!! They were awesome! Especially when everyone was crying over the boat! And dallin, your marathon pics were pretty cool dude! Just one thing, :) you need a haircut!:) hear that mom:), A Senhora (you, mom:)) precisa cortar a cabela dele! But the pics were cool! And mike and dall, Parabéns on your song and the battles of the bands!!!! Dude, you guys rock!! Sick!! (is that word really back in fashion again?) Congrats bros!!! and mikey, I remember meeting Elder Palmer in the ctm, so that’s pretty cool!
So chanae and bryce, how is the wedding coming? Is everything working out? I hope so! And do you have a job yet chanae, I am praying that you ( and mikey) will be able to find one!
So I haven’t received the package yet but I probably will tomorrow, or the next Tuesday, it all depends on when the zl’s go to João pessoa. And mikey, let me know when you get the package okay, I hope you like it, but if you don’t then it’s all good, it might be a little big though, but I hope not.
Well everyone, I love you all so much and I hope that you are all doing good! I know that this is the true church of God! That Jesus Cristo really leads and guides this church through a profet of god! I know that only through Fé, Repentance, baptism, and Enduring to the End can we return to live with our Father in Heaven! If you guys get a chance, study Alma 32! It is an amazing chapter about Faith! I know this is the true church!!! Read the Book of Mormon every day, “We can become closer to God by this book then by any other book!” – Joseph Smith

Como vocês estão? I t sounds like everyone is doing good and i hope that that is true? So the weather is getting warmer huh, well here it is freakin hot! Generally the days aren’t to bad, except when it rains. Now don’t get me wrong, because I love the rain, but the thing that really sucks is after it rains and the sun comes out and it is so freakin humid! Man, you wouldn’t believe it!
