Oí Família,
so how the crap is everyone? :) so grandma and grandpa left today for hawaii huh? Crazy! is there mission 1 1/2 yrs? so in other words, i'll get home before they do. legal! hey, do you think grandpa would let me use his scooter when i get home, seeing as i wont have a vehicle and all? ;) hahahaha just kidding.
so you would not believe what happened this week! as i said in the title. theres a first for everything, and i am realizing that you pass through almost every experience possible in the mission! so lets go...
on wednesday, i did splits with my zone leader. so i had a great day planned out and i was going to work his butt off! but as we know, things don't always go as planned. and it all started out in the morning. we walked about 20 min to a compromisso and when we arrived there i was feeling sick, drained of energy and i was having a pain in my back, about where my kidneys are( i have been having this pain since august. it come and goes, and some times it really sucks!). then we walked to our lunch and in the front of the house of the brother i threw up 2 times in the road. I thought it was because of the sun and maybe a lack of water. so we decided to eat at home. when we arrived i went to use the bathroom and i was peeing blood. a little wierd i thought, and i decided i would call Sister fernandes that night to talk to her about it. so after lunch we left to work, I was feeling a little better, still had the pain in my back and now one in the front, like a pain in the stomach. and we ended up walking the whole area because all of my compromissos fell through!!!!!!!! all of them!!!! we finally taught one lesson at 6 and then went to a ward family night to end the day at 7:30. but other than that it was just walking from house to house and talking with a ton of people in the road all day! it was really the worst day i have seen in the mission! and even better that i was with my zone leader and he will tell everything to President! oh gloria.... so yeah. it pretty much sucked. oh, and to end the day i was peeing blood again. so i tried to call sister fernandes and finaly got a hold of her the next night, and she said that the next day, friday, i had to go to the hospital to get some tests done. oh gloria de novo!...
so we went to the hospital, and they did some tests (luckily it was a really nice hospital), and they didn't find anything. the doc said it was possible that i had a kidney stone, but when i peed blood that it passed. but personally i think it was the blessing that my comp and another elder gave me. so yeah. talk about crazy.
and yesterday!!!! wow, pense de um dia! we had 3 baptisms yesterday. everyone was in the cool white jumpsuits ready to go, when we realize that the doors to the font were locked. so we send the ward mission leader to find the keys. no one in the bishopric had a key, so they went to the house of the other bishop, tambem he didn't have key. we tried to take the door off by removing the hinges. but after an hour of running around and trying everything.....what happened..... we had to remark the baptism for another day! it really sucked!!!!!!! everyone was excited and ready to go, but thats life neh. so yeah, it really sucked. but we will have the baptize wednesday night. so that will be good
oh, and guess what else happened. (wow, this week was full of events) i lost my memory card to my camera with 5 months of pictures on it! i took the card to print fotos, and that night when we returned home, it was gone. i think it fell out of my pocket in the middle of the road! so yeah. i had more then 300 fotos on it. so i was pretty ticked about that. hey, have you guys sent my other memory card yet, if not please send it.
But, amongst all of the trials and problems and stress, the church is still true! :) The book of Mormon is true! and Jesus Cristo is our Savior and Redeemer and He loves us!!! thanks for the e-mails and all of your love and support!!!!! I love you all so much!!!!!!!!!

Come on Down!!!!! September 22, 2009
Hey Family!!!
man you guys are trunky trunky trunky até o pó!!!! (or extremely trunky!:)) so this week was good. nothing to crazy. on sudnay we baptized a girl named sarah! it was pretty sweet. i will send a foto. and on quinta feira (thursday?) my comp. and i went and ate pizza in the pizzaria of my baptism!!! it was sweet!!!! and the pízza was way good! and then that night i burned a soccer shirt that one of my comps gave me that i never use because it was way to big and i thought it to be a little ugly. so i burned it! legal neh?! i will send pics of the shirt.
Thanks so much for the packages and the letters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i loved them!!!!!!!! we ate a bunch of the candy last night and i made peanutt butter cookies!!! it was sweet!!!! so yeah!!! THANK YOU!!!!! oh, and my comp and some other brazilians loved the little book of mormon so much they were wondering if you guys could send some more, because pocket size bom don't exist here. and my presidente asked that if there are some familys that can send an extra package for natal, to hand out stuff to all of the elders, then he would be really grateful. and so if that is something you guys could do that would be cool. He said to send it to the same address but just put mission joão Pessoa. He asked to send hygeneical stuff, or candy would be good, pens.. etc.... this is just if you guys would like to help. Presidente is doing this because there are many elders that don't recieve anything for Natal. and he needs to know by next week which families can help, so if you guys would like to, just let me know next week.
so on saturday i interviewed 7 people for baptism!! it was pretty cool! Elder Evangelista, an elder in my district is tearin it up! it was way cool! in these 7 he baptized a family and another man!
Well, i'm already running out of things to say... so...
I love you all so much!!!! Thanks for all that guys do for me!!!!!The Church is true!!!!!!!! Jesus Cristo é nosso Salvador!!!! Thomas s. Monson is a Profet of God!!!!!!! The Book of Mormon is True!!!!! Always say your prayers!!!!!!!!!! Amo Voces!!!!

Transferencia di emergencia......... September 14, 2009
Caro Família,
so guess what the crap happened.... i got "emergency" transferred! oh joy. and not only that but i received a new calling... "Junior companion to District Leader!", actually i was already senior, but now i am a district leader. oh joy de novo. :) So yeah. i still haven't decided if i am excited to have all this new responsibility, but until now all is going good. i got transferred and received the calling on quinta feira. (umm.....thursday?) I got transferred to Nova Republica, that's right, my first area! so that is actually pretty cool. i already know that area and pretty much all the members. so that is good. and it is exciting to see the people that i baptized 10 months ago!
so on saturday i did my first baptismal interviews as a ld. it was pretty interesting, a pretty cool experience. so at least i like that part, but now i have to do splits with the other elders and give trainings on terça feira (umm.... tuesday), and i have to be the example so i have to baptize more than everyone else to. so it will be interesting.
unfortunately we didn't baptize yesterday. we had 4 people tudo firme until friday. then on saturday our homem said he couldn't go to church because a friend died, and on sunday a lady and her kid didn't go to church because the kid was sick. and the other one didn't pass the interview. so it really bites, but tambem it just means that we have a whole bunch for this week!
My comp is Elder Faverão. I am really liking him. he was senior for one week here and but then was released because of some fubeking (slaking off mais ou menos), and so was another District leader in the zone, so i got called and came over here. but My comp is still excited and wants to work. the most he has ever baptized on one sunday is 3, so i am going to see if i can't help increase that number.
so yeah, i lost the stress from the other wards, because of the transfer, and took on new stress because of the calling:)! que vida boa! (what a good life) :) but i hope that all will go smooth.
Wow, can you believe that one year has already passed by!!!! it is crazy!!!!! on thursday i am going to buy pizza for me and my comp to celebrate! The family that i baptized here opened a pizzaria, so i am excited to go and try it out. i also thought about buying a cake, but i'll probably just do one or the other.
oh and guess what, i finally have scriputers again!!! que coisa boa!!! so that is exciting! i have been spending this whole week just marking them all up, and today i am going to go into town to buy me a backpack. so that will be good. but other than that not much new is going on here. just a whole lot:)
and chanae, yes, i am sleeping in my rede (hammock) again!!! it rocks!
thanks for all of the love and support and for all the emails! i love you all so much!! the church is true!! Jesus Cristo is our Salvador e Redentor do Mundo!!! O livro De Mórmon é verdadeiro, e Thomas S. Monson é um profeta de Deus aqui na terra!!!! Eu Amo Voces!!!!! Have a great week!!!!

Falta um Ano!!!!!!! mwhahahaha! September 7, 2009
Hey familia,
so it sounds like the family reunion was a blast. it's good that i forgot about it or i would have been going crazy thinking about you guys.
so i am doing good. i still haven't had a chance to replace my scriptures yet and i am truly feeling their falt. but life goes on. and i just let my comp carry everything because i don't have a bag either. but its all good.
this week basically sucked. everything fell through. our investigators decided they didn't want anything more to do with the church, no one! went to church. (another sunday with 30 members at church), and the bishopric just sat around lecturing me, and our baptism fell through! oh joy! i was way stressed and frustrated last night, because of the stress at a family night with some members. i'm really stressed out with the two wards here. ever since i arrived here the first time 8 months ago neither one of the wards has changed. they haven't grown at all. if anything only decreased in members. so i am stressed because i want to help but i don't know how. all of my leaders in the mission are telling me to do one thing, but the bishoprics are telling me to do another. so i don't know what i will do.
sorry, this letter really sucks. as you can tell i have alot on my mind.
so yeah, one year from today i will be getting on the plane to go home!!! crazy huh! there is a new elder in our zone and i realized that when he makes one year in the mission i will be headed home! i'm getting old.
but other than that, not much new is going on here. so i hope all is well at home and that school is going well to. thanks so much for everything!! i love you all so much!!! i know that the church is true! Jesus Cristo is our Savior and Redeemer!!!! the book of mormon is true!!!! and Thomas S. Monson is a profet of God!!!!
I love you all!!! good luck with everything!!! and tell grandpa and grandma párabens (congrats) on the mission call!!! i am way excited for them!!

p.s. so i was thinking, seeing as how my leave date is 10 days early, that means that i will still have 10 more days on my visa to blow. sooooo... if you guys want, you could come and get me and i could show you around the northeast of brazil for 10 days!!!! seria xike de mais!! but think it over:) tchao tchao

Transferencias.....August 31, 2009
Oí Família,
hey so how is everyone doing? whats new at the wilson round about? so guess what, this transfer i will hit the half way mark!!! in 1 year and 8 dias i will be in home!!! i already received the date i will go home because i have some friends in the staff and they told me. dia 7 de setembro i will be headed home!! and dia 8 i will be at home! legal neh!! anyways, i am doing good. we had transfers today. usually it is on wednesday but presidente cought everyone by surprise last night with the transfers. meu companheiro e eu stayed in the same area. and i am excited so that is good. with all of the stress that i get from this area i am still excited. i have some plans to see if i can get this ward moving, because it is just stopped. it has almost been 8 months since i arrived here the first time and the ward hasn't changed a bit. if anyhting it has lost members. which is really sad because i have already baptized more then 20 here, and that just me. so i hope we can get people excited.
So guess what happened. Yesterday i passed through a new experience that i never had in my life. I was assaulted! legal neh!? not really. i was doinga divisão with a member of the ward to take investigators to church, and when we were headed to the church a guy, about 23 yrs. old, stopped us and told us to hand over our bags. he was on a bike and showed that he had a "gun" under his pants. i didn't believe that he really had a gun and i told him that i wouldn't and started walking again, but then the member grabbed me, and scaired out of his mind told me we have to give them to him. so he handed over his bag and i just said that i wouldn't, because i didn't believe he had a gun and it was in the middle of the road 8 in the morning. and for this reason the guy was getting really anxious telling me to give it to him and the member was freaking out so i just gave him my bag. and the secound he grabbed it i remembered my camera was inside. then i started freaking out yelling at him to give me my camera. but then he took off on his bike. and then i started yelling in english, almost at the point of swearing i was so mad (don't worry, we didn't have investigators with us). but we returned home and luckily my camera was on the table! i was so relieved to not have lost all of my fotos! but it sucks because now i don't have a bag, and he stole my bible my triple, my foto album, and a bunch of baptism forms. so now i have to go back and do all of the forms again andbuy new scriptures and a bag. so basically it really sucks. so i will probably be getting money from my account this week to pay for everything okay.
but i'm pretty ticked that i gave him my bag, because i am positive that guy was lying. but nothing i can do now. pretty cool huh. here in Natal, satan is really working to get rid of the elders. 3 houses have already been robbed. 2 x with the missionaries sleeping at the time, and two churches have been robbed now. but it's because we are baptizing so many people. the north zone of the city has two zones, Pajuçara and Potengi, Pajuçara baptized 75 and Potengi baptized 78 in 5 weeks!! and the two stakes are getting close to divide. and i heard talk of a mission Natal Brasil opening here in one year! crazy huh, so it is possible that my mission could get moved in one year. pretty cool stuff is happening!!
yesterday we baptized 2 young men. one named alison with 15 yrs. and the other named ednan with 10 yrs. i already baptized the brother of ednan the first time i was here and now we just have to baptize the mom to have the whole family as members! and this week we have a man with 18 yrs that we are preparing to baptize! so we are pretty excited! wow, now that i have written a livro!
thanks for all that you guys do for me!! i love you all so much!!! hey, the next time you send a package, send a cd walk man (because mine died) and some fotos of the family, because now i don't have a whole lot. i still have a bout half but all the fotos of my last day at home and of the pics of the family together i lost, and half of the pics of chanaes wedding (freaking robber). but thanks for all!! i Know htat this is the true church of God!! Jesus Cristo is our savior and redeemer!!! I love you all!!!!
