Hey everyone! So how is everyone doing this fine Monday morning? anything new from yesterday? All is well here. Yesterday was awesome! I was so excited to talk to all of you and hear how you are all doing! but also, yesterday was a little sad.. our baptism fell through. the mom of Daniel, a 18 yr ym, doesn't like the church and she was talking a bunch of crap to him. so that pretty much sucks. we went 10 weeks in a row baptizing, but we already have 3 for sure this week! so we are still excited! We just about have everything planned out for the wedding. just have a few more details to figure out ....buy lunch..... and make sure the clothes will fit the groom! so we are pretty excited!! and last night we taught another family the first lesson and they excepted the baptismal invite and so we are also going to get them married and baptized! we have 3 families in our group that we need to marry to baptize them, counting the one family right now! but i will probably be transferred before the other families get baptized:( but all's good! so mom, yes you can send the dvd of the wedding, no problems. and actually i did think of something else i could use, a green pencil to mark my scriptures and a red one:) and also a face wash, my other one is out and i have yet to see one here worth buying, that won't brake me:) and just a side note, if you do decide to send those books my comp asked it would be good to get them sent soon because i will probably be transferred here in 4 weeks. but i'll make sure they get to him anyways. so bryce, i was thinking about your question about tracting yesterday and i don't know if my answered made sense. basically we do at least 10 contacts everyday. and we do them when we are walking to other appointments because usually our days are full of appointments that we don't set time aside just for tracting. so we don't set a goal for how many hours we tract, but how many people we contact. So is everybody excited for school to end? it's getting close. are we doing the hurry run and get your grades up thing yet?:) and Congrats on the eagles!!!! you guys will do the court of honor this week or next week? Chanae and Bryce, so you guys think it will be how long until i'm an uncle?:) because you know. i could be an uncle before i get home;) I still have a 1 yr. and 4 months:) hahahaha... jk:) but serious! Sup Family!!!!!! So on saturday we baptized a young man named Mateus (mathew)! it was pretty awesome!!! He is 14 yrs old! it is pretty cool, we are baptizing a whole group of friends! so hopefully they can all continue strong in the church together! It's pretty Cool! and because of some problems the wedding has been moved back another week. so it will be on the 16. But everyone is still very excited!!!! it will be sweet!!!!! but i will probably have to take more money out of my account to help with the wedding, just to let you guys know ahead of time:) so it has been raining like crazy here! almost every night this past week about 6:00 it starts to rain! and we have a ton of people we have to talk to you we end up walking/running in the rain all night long! it's pretty crazy! and yesterday was really crazy. usually on sundays we have 6 hrs of church, but the ward in the afternoon decided to go to the morning and the other ward doesn't want to change so we have two wards at the same time with investigators in both wards! so we had to do splits to be in both! it is way stressful, because the mornings will be really rushed to get people from both wards to take to church:) so mom, you will probably be a little frustrated, i still don't know anything about the call on sunday:)... but we will find out on thursday morning and probably have time to e-mail you to let you know the details. so sorry, i myself am frustrated that they haven't said anything yet, but.... so yesterday night we had a family night (?)at the house of our family we will marry and we watched together forever (a movie by the church from the 1980's:). it was awesome!!! the spirit was way strong! I am so excited for them!! and they are way excited!!! so this coming sunday we have one baptism marked and hopefully we will mark one more tonight!!! we are way excited!! So chanae.... what are your feelings right now... stressed because of the wedding? happy because you can move out of the house? sad because you have to leave dallin behind?.. just curious, i'd give you some advice but i've never been married before.. so.... Good Luck SIS!!!!!! :) I am way excited for you!! I hope the wedding is awesome and that all goes well!!! have fun at the temple tomorrow! so whats all this about grandma and grandpa going on a mission? when did they decide to go? Will it be a service mission or a mission with tracting and teaching and all that good stuff? Well... i can't think of anything else to write about..soo....até.. thursday when i let you know about the call:) I love you all so much!!!! so yes, and no:) today were transfers so our pday is today. so we didn't have pday monday. sorry i forgot to tell you. but I didn't get transferred. Me and my comp stayed, so i am actually excited, considering all the stress caused by the area/members here, because i can stay to help our investigators! so when we "started" the wedding we basically just started all the paper work. all that stuff will be ready on the 7 and then that saturday we will have the wedding in the church and right after the wedding the baptism!!! this is actually the second wedding i have planned but the couple want to do something big so this will be different. we are going to pass by tonight to get everything worked out. one thing i noticed is that weddings here don't seem to be that big of a deal, which is really weird to me... but what the heck, i'm in brasil :)
quick thought, one thing i would like is gatorade! (powder of course) it is extremely expensive here and i have been dying lately for some! i almost bought some but then talked my self out of it:)
so on sunday we baptized a 13 yr old y.m. He is a cousin to this family we will marry! it was pretty cool!
this transfer me and my comp are going to work our........... b utts off! we have been talking and we are going to change some things and really get working! so i am really excited for this week!!!
And yes mom the shoes fit perfectly! a lot better then the other ones. my other ones are a little big so these are awesome! thanks so much!!!!! and it's actually a good thing you took bryces advice cause i know other missionaries that have dockers and they didn't last very long at all:) so thanks for all!!!!
Dad- i have to say that that story was flippin hilarious!!!!! thanks for filling me in! hahaha!!!! it's a shame i missed it! it would be great to have on tape!!!!!
Congrats chanae!!!!!!!!!!! how did you like the temple? It is such an awesome place!!! I love it!!!! especially the celestial room!!!!! its amazing huh!!!!!!! go as often as possible!!!!!!!!!!!!! and sealings are really cool!! your going to like it a lot!!!!! and good luck with work and your cold. so i am sending some fotos. one of our baptism, Gabriel. one of 3 sisters in our ward, we are teaching there dad and i really hope we can baptism him to help complete their family. (and the one in the middle is definitely uma possível por depois da missão:) jk :).... and then one of two other youth in our ward that are helping us a bunch. and another one of some tree and this plant that is growing all over them. i thought it was cool!
so i FINALLY sent some more letters. sorry it took me so long. but it will probably take forever to arrive there. but at least they are going:) so my comp told me i will probably be called senior after this transfer and i don't know how i feel about that:) of course i want the opportunity but that makes me stressed out:) but who knows, i still have at least 6 more weeks of junior:) well, as you can tell i am just rambling now... so .... oh, and things are getting better with the liderança here, so that is good. well,
