como voces estão? pergunta?, whats up with all of the weight questions? michael and dallin. no. i haven't gained:) okay just a little, but that was back in the ctm. here in the field i have stayed the same. i don't know how because i am eating a ton more, but i am also walking a ton more to. i need a step counting just to know how much i am walking, because it is a ton. in pounds i don't know what i weigh because here they use the metric system. but i weigh 61 kilos. feel free to do a conversion:)
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! FOR THE SHOES!!!!!!!!!!!! I received my pacote the other day, i think it was quinta (thursday). and guess what, it was checked for !.. pretty funny huh:) i don't think any thing is missing, because they just made a slit in the package to look inside. and the shoes are way nice! thank you so much!!! you guys are awesome! you really didn't have to send shoes, but i am very grateful! thank you so much!!!! and i loved all the sticky notes!
so on saturday we baptized a brother and sister. Amanda and Alison (alison is the boy:) they have 9 and 10 yrs. it's funny, basically there entire road is baptized now and i have baptized half of them. it was really cool! and on sunday we baptized a woman named Helena! it was really cool!!! i am sending pics of them, also of the other two young men from last week.
so yesterday was terrible! we were at chruch (the first ward in the morning) and the bishop from the other ward (our ward) wanted to talk to us. so we went to his office and there was him his counselor the ward mission leader (bishops brother) and his assistante( nino, that one member that is really crappy and doesn't like us). to talk about moving baptizing to saturday. right off the bat nino started to basically yell at us saying that we were only baptizing for numbers and a bunch of other crap, that we don' t care about the ward at all, and it was lucky all this was in portugues because if it was in english i would have given him a mouth full. and then the bishop started with basically the same stuff. so we told them we can't move it and he has to talk to presidente, and then we left. and then after the first ward nino started to yell at us again and left calling us trashy missionaries and other stuff.... but in fim, the bishop called the pres of the mish and we will baptize on both days, or basically it depends which day is better for the investigator. so now i don't know how we are going to work with the ward mission leaders assistant because i don't even want to talk to him anymore. but life goes on neh? so that was my big stressful experience for this week. and the best part was all that happened right before sacrament meeting so we had to go to the meeting all flustered and ticked off. but now all is good. we are just going to move forward and hope the lord will continue to bless us.
so i took out some money to start a wedding for two of our investigators. we are going to get them married and then baptized!!! they are really cool! and i really hope i don't get transferred because i want to be here for the baptism.
7 mezes!!!! cray huh. already 7 months. man it is passing freakin fast. oh, so we had a conference with the pres. and he said something really interesant. i don't remember who he quoted but he said every time you bear your testimony you are forgiven of your sins! how cool is that! our Father in Heaven is so good to forgive us so easily. so on fast sunday, and every moment you can, bear testimony! not only because of this reason but because testimonies are extremely powerful!!!
so yeah the shirt is destroyed, so i will take pic and send it to you next week. thanks for all mom and dad!!!!!
congrats chanae!!!!!! man, it is getting freakin close!!! 17 days!!! i am doing a count down here! i am so excited for you and bryce and for your decision! Temple marriage!!! For time and all Eternity!! Pensa a coisa boa!!!!! (think of a good thing.. i think?:) be sure and send me some pics so i can show everyone!!!
oh yeah, mom and dad, everyone that sees my pictures comments on how young you guys are:) and i'm not joking:) so congrats for being young hahaha!

Destruido! (destroyed):).....April 13, 2009
Oí Família!!!
tudo bem? muito obrigado por todos os e-mails!!! they were awesome! so one more week passed by! wow, the weeks go by so fast! tuesday and wednesday are usually slow, but once it hits thursday the week is already gone! oh yeah, so my shirt is destruido! the stain didn't come out so i can't use it. but no worries.
so yesterday we baptized two ym. its actually a cool story. so we were working with two of our investigators to baptize them this week. one of them ( a woman) traveled to her aunts house thursday and the other, and young man, decided he didn't want anything on saturday. so we were running around trying to find some one we could baptize sunday, and we literally had no one. then we saw a young man working in a field (we had talked to him a week ago, and he had already gone to church a bunch but his mom wouldn't let him get baptized). so we talked to him and he said he still wanted to be baptized. so we talked to his mom saturday night and she allowed her two sons to get baptized! awesome huh! we found them and marked there baptisms the day before the baptism! it was a great blessing from the lord! it just goes to show that the Lord answers our prayers! (sorry no pics this week, i left the cord for my camera at home:(
oh, so i forgot to tell you. about 3 weeks ago i ate goat tongue. weird! it wasn't bad, but it had a weird after taste and it was a little tough. so i think i have just about eaten an entire goat! gross! but luckily it didn't cause problems:)
thank you so much for the package!!!!!!!!!! i got it on wednesday!!!! and i couldn't wait so i opened the same day! Thank you so much!! i love everything!!!!!!! i am way excited to make peanut butter bars!!!!!! and we made cookies yesterday because our lunch fell through and we have nothing in the house to eat. it was also my dinner and breakfast:) but don't worry... we will buy stuff today:) and i am way excited for the brownies!!!!! and thanks for recording stuff on the recorder!!! i loved hearing you guys!!!!!!
so how was easter for everyone! mine was awesome!!! church was cool and we baptized! oh, except we are having major problems with our ward leaders. it is a mess and me and my comp are so freaking stressed out. so this week will be interesting. the bishop said he will not except baptisms on sunday now (we have to have someone from the bishopric there) and we already have baptisms marked for this sunday, so it will be interesting. and the ward has a new ward mission leader but he is more against us then with us. he doesn't like us at all, so it will be really interesting i think. i just hope that all will work out. sadly enough it wouldn't surprise me if presidente closes this area because of the problems. none of the members want to help us. we have two people in the entire ward that have given us references and that want to help. its really sad and frustrating. but the work must go on!
congrats mikey and dall!!!!! just have to have the court of honor now!!!!! awesome!!!!!!
chanae, i am counting down with you to!:) i put a count down in my planner until you get married! i am really excited for you! and i am way excited for you to go through the temple!!!!!! how cool!!!!! your gonna love it!!!!
oh, on saturday we were walking down the road about 7:00 at night and this drunk g irl stopped, looked at us and said, boa noite jovens (good night young men). i looked at my comp and said run! and we both started laughing so hard! snakey! it was way funny. a little scary but really funny!!
well family, i think that's about it for me! i am always really sad when i have to stop writing you guys, but its time for me to go. I love you all so much!! I know that this is the true church!! Jesus Cristo lives and he is our savior and redeemer!!!! the Book of Mormon is true!!!!!! and Families are Forever!!!

Happy Easter!!!!......April 6, 2009
Hey Everyone,
Thank you all for the e-mails!! i love it when i receive one from everyone! its flippin sweet!!!!!! so did everyone like conference? i only got to watch the Sunday sessions. because Saturday we were running around, baptizing, and doing interviews for other elders to baptize. so i missed alot, and for the last session alot of people were talking so i couldn't hear hardly anything, and because it was all in portugues it was a little bit difficult to understand everything. but i still got some good notes and enjoyed what i understood.:)
so on Saturday morning we baptized a young man named Machino. and on Sunday in between conferences we baptized a primary g irl named Karole. it was pretty cool! so overall my weekend was awesome! it was kinda funny, i thought yesterday was Easter (that's why you got an early e-mail mom). so Sunday morning i studied about the Christ and his atonement, but then we realized that it wasn't Easter. but it was cool anyways!
so in the ward Cidade do sol, we have been having some problems with some of the members. we have a rule to baptized every week and baptized on Sundays. but some of the members think we should baptize on Saturday (including the bishop). so they are mad cause we are baptizing on Sunday, because the investigators have to wait a week to receive the holy ghost. and that is alot of time, enough time for the investigator to decided that he doesn't want to return to church. and i think this happened alot in the past, and some of the members keep arguing with us that we are doing everything wrong. but the rule of the mission is baptized on Sunday. so we are keeping the rules. it kinda sucks, because now we only have one member in that ward giving references. but the other ward started giving references like crazy. so now we are working in the other ward more. so it is really interesting:) sorry, i'm rambling. and yes we do baptize on Saturdays sometimes, depends on the circumstances. so yeah, other then that not much is new.
oh, one thing that i kinda need but not drastically is a white long sleeve shirt. i gave one to an investigator because he needed a shirt and i almost never use long sleeve shirts, just when we have conferences with my suit. and i was wearing my other one yesterday and got a big grease stain on it...long story.... but i think it is ruined. i have it soaking in water with some bleach but i don't know if it will do anything. so just something when you send a package. but i don't need it really bad so fica tranquilo.
so i am sending pics of the baptisms and of a little bird that was in our garage thingy (?). i think he was hurt because we could basically touch him and he didn't do anything (no mom, i didn't touch him:).
well everyone, i love you all and hope that you are all doing well!! i know that this church is true!! Jesus is the Cristo, the Savior and Redeemer of the World! I am very excited for this Easter week!!! a special time we have to reflect upon our Lord and God and the sacrifice He made for us!!! I am so grateful for you all and so happy that our family is Eternal!!!! I love you all!!!!!!!

Sup.....March 30, 2009
Olá Família,
So how is everyone this fine and beautiful day? whats everybody up to? what else is new around the block?
thanks for all the e-mails!!! I loved them!! oh and tell Kendrek congrats!! or Parabéns!!!!
so this week was really interesting. It is really good to have a brasilion comp because it is helping my portueguese alot! and he is a good missionary, he wants to baptize every week (as do i) but he said if you want to baptize every week you have to work with the young men and the primary children. and here i disagree. first of all it is good to work with the young men to help with the priesthood, but when you start teaching them, you can already tell if they will stay firm or not. and the ym we were working with this week i already new that they wouldn't and so i was hesitant to work with them, but in the end none of them went to church anyways sooo, and with the primary we have rules, like they have to have a family member thats a member with more then 19 yrs or go to church for 2 months. and we have some primaries that we are working with which is good, but personally i would rather work with the men and families and young men that really want to go because it is more likely for them to stay strong in the church. so basically what i want to say is i don't agree with a lot of things, but we are going to baptize alot this transfer so thats exciting. sorry for the rambling. so this past week i was more or less senior. because i had to teach my comp the area, it was really interesting because our area is huge. but we only got lost a few times. :)
on Sunday we baptized a 9 yr old named Taize! it was pretty cool. her grandma was really emotional. she has alot of family in the Church but her dad isn't and he finally let her get baptized! but other then that it was just another week. i am learning alot of patience to:) but it will be good.
Dad e Mom- yeah i have noticed how the lord is helping me alot with the language! i am really grateful for his help because there is no way i would be able to talk how i am with out Him. my comp and alot of other people say that i am talking really good for how much time i have. and i can basically understand everything. the lord is truly blessing me! and just so ya know mom i didn't lose my camera :) i just forgot it at home that day. but i am sending more pics today! and i am finally going to do that thing you sent me forever ago:)
chanae- you know its pretty sad when my soon to be brother in law writes more than my very own sister!:) just kidding! thanks for the e-mail, and congrats on the job! i love you both!!
mikey- dude, your a freakin jerk! go to a concert with out me! jk:) that is so cool!!!! i am way jealous!!! when i get home we are definitely going to a ton of concerts! thats way cool though, but sad about the guitar, but cool at the same time!:)
dallin- sup buddy! how was your week? did you go to the concert with mikey? how is the running going? keep me updated okay! and congrats on jazz band dude!!! wow, now you just need to kick mikey in the butt and get him in there:)
I love you all!!! i know this church is true!!!!! Jesus is our savior and redeemer!!!! we truly have a profet here on the earth today to guide and lead us!!!! I love you all!!!!!!! good luck with everything!!!!! i love you!!!!!!!!!
