CAN YOU SAY 3?
Hello everyone!!Thanks for all the e-mails!!!! yes, I am still alive and doing good:)today, (Monday) is my pday for the next 21ish months, unless they decide to change it. sorry i didn't send a letter, i didn't really have time to write but hope fully next week. and no i didn't get any packages or letters yet but I'm sure the mission home has stuff... but i have no idea when i will get it... umm..i sent one of my memory cards home, you should be getting it this week if you haven't already. I am in the city of Natal ( that means Christmas in port.). My Area is nova republica and my zone is pajuçara.my new companions name is Elder Hyatt. he is from Idaho. he has been in the field for 1 yr. and 4 months. he is a really good missionary and a hard worker. I have to work to keep up with him, which is good:) He walks really fast:) which is also good. yes, my comp from the ctm is in joão pessoa along with 4 other missionaries from my district their. The language is really hard. i realized that i really don´t know much at all. I know enough to teach some of the lessons and bare my testimony, but if they have questions and start talking about something else i get completely lost. and when that happens for some dumb reason my brain starts to shut down and i have to fightto stay awake.. which isn't good.. but hopefully I'll start to understand soon. soo have you guessed what 3 is yet...:) So my first week in the field has been pretty crazy.Thursday we found a Huge tarantula in our house!! it was massive!! so we decided to burn it!:) i filmed it so you all can see! it was soo cool!! we burned it with a can of deodorant spray and a lighter, hahaha, it was really cool!um.. oh, so 3 is the magic number because i had theopportunity to baptize 3 people on Sunday!! it was areally cool exp. Their names are Graça (an older lady)and her grandson Emerson (who is 9 or 10 i think) anda 13 yr. old boy named Thomas.I really like all of themand was honored to baptize them. although.... it tookme 3 times to get Graça baptized. i felt so bad. thefirst time a little bit of her hair stayed up, then the2nd time she didn't bend her knees right and so it justdidn't work, then third time i almost baptized myselfto make sure she got under:) i felt bad though causeshe was embarrassed and baptism is a special thing.but she is baptized so that's good. i am really startingto love our investigators, i really hope they all makeit to baptism.the weather is alot different then são paulo. it isalot hotter and humid.when i stepped off the planei immediately thought of home. except it is just morehumid. it´s not to bad though, i mean I'm a littlewet all the time, but it's like working for brad in thesummer.. so i am used to it at least. my comp on theother hand sweats like crazy:) it's kinda funny.when would be a good time to do the Christmas call?Dad~ thanks for the e-mails! i love to hear from youno matter how short it is! i am glad that the brakesworked on the plane and you didn't die!:) so doyou enjoy going and getting the planes andtesting them out?Mom~ thanks so much for all the e-mails! i am alwayshappy to receive e-mails from you! i am doing reallywell so don't worry! and yeah, i am going to missthanksgiving.. apple pie!... aaahhh..oh, and i foundout my going home date just in case you were curious.Sept 23 2010please tell grandma and grandpa Gubler thanks for theletter! and thank you so much for all that you do andfor all of your support! I always loving hearingfrom you all and seeing whats up! I hope you allhave a happy thanksgiving! think of me when youtake your first bite of apple pie okay:) I love youall so much!!!! I hope you are all healthyand well!!! Keep the Fé!! the church istrue!!!!!! read the book of Mormon everyday!!!!!it will blessyour lives!! muchlove!!!!!Elder Wilson"yur standing in horse neer"... "what"..."horseneer, horse neer, yur standing in hosre neer!"you picked up my cd in broad daylight and youscratched it!
Hey Family!!
thanks for all of the letters!!! I love getting e-mails form everyone and hearing how you are all doing! I have about 25 min left so i am going to try to write every one back but if i don´t i am sorry and just know that i love you all and that i am so grateful to all of you!!!
next week you probably won´t get an e-mail but i´m not sure. i leave for the field tuesday morning and so i don´t know when my pday will be or when i can write a letter so sorry.. but i will e-mail as soon as i get a chance.:) proselyting went well last week. nothing to exciting. we went to the "japanesse" town of são paulo and it was crazy. most of them spoke portuguese so that was good. we only met a few that didn't. I did get up some courage though and stood in front of about 10 old people sitting down on some benches and start talking about the gospel. it was really scarry but fun at the same time.... except they mostly ignored me and then one guy starting asking us questions in his mumbly portuguese and we couldn´t understand him. all we got was he was basically saying cristo was crucified so he can´t be alive. so i bore my testimony that Cristo lives and that we can live with him, then he more or less started to laugh at what i sayed so we just left and continued to talk to other people. it was fun though. thats a big thing you realize the first time proselyting, a ton of people turn you down. they are usually nice about it but sometimes not. so all you can do is bear your testimony and move on. i love it though! so this week i have to teach lesson 1 again, but it could possibly be to some non members so i am a little nervous cause that means that they will probably have real questions! yeah, that will be fun. um....
Hey mom, is it long enough yet?:) just kidding:) yeah so the pizza is freakin wierd!! tell tyson to enjoy all the pizza he can!!! oh and the ctm is putting up all these christmas lights and i won´t get to see them.. so thats kinda a bummer. oh, so one of the elders in my district figured it out.. don´t ask me why... but the way my mission will work out with all the transfers, i will be home sept 1, if i don´t extend another transfer. then i was like, hey i wonder when the gubler reunion is? so that would be pretty cool if i made it home in time. anyways... random thought:) oh so did you all know that Amen is a name for Jesus Cristo in the adamic language. interesting huh. one of my teachrs was reading Mormon Doctrine and it says that in their. i thought that was pretty cool.
So it has come time for me to get my ears lowered.:) i actually needed it about a week ago but the barber is full till friday. so i am way excited about that:) not... hahaha. so that will be an experience. my comp has got his hair cut twice and it is pretty interesting to watch cause the barber will talk to people outside the hall and not watch what he is cutting:) it´s pretty funny.. kinda... well.. thats about all for me. I love you all so much!!!!eu amo voces!

Big W,
Cotton Top Contemplates.. the mission so far...
Hey everyone in the Wilson clan! How are you all doing? I am doing awesome! the ctm is an interesting place but way fun! first off.. the showers are normal and all the water in ctm, along with temples are drinkable. and I can flush the toilet paper:) the pizza is anything but pizza! and I have beans and rice everyday of the week:) the Portuguese is coming. so far I have been proselyting 2 times and I go again Friday. have had to teach the first 2 lessons in Portuguese and I have to teach the third one on Saturday. It́s always interesting to teach in portugues. cause I can only say so much but it́s fun when they ask a question and I am able to answer it! so more or less the language is coming! today is my pday and I didńt go to the temple today cause all the missionaries here get one pday when they dońt go and mine was today. so today will probabaly be the one day out of my mission where I have to find things to do. It́s great though! I love staying busy and working hard! I have two weeks left here in the ctm. I cańt believe I have been gone from home for so long and yet I am sad because thats over a month of my mission gone and all I have done is sat in a class and learn. but it́s necessary so I guess it́s all good.:) so far, I have had the pleasure of attempting to sew cause I had a whole in the crouch of my pants and now one of the hems on my pants leg fell so that will be another experience:) it́s fun though! I love this gospel!!! I cańt wait to get in the field and get to work! Eu sei que o evangelho de jesus cristo e verdadeiro! Eu sei que o livro de mormon e verdadeiro! Hope everyone is doing good! oh, and brasil has the best cinnamon rolls in the World!!!

Dear Family
Hey! What's up? How's life in good old Ivins? How's the weather? Is it getting cold yet? How are Tator and Jack and the sheep doing?
So who wants to guess what I'm doing right now? Anyone.........Correct! I am on the bus back to the CTM. The Temple was so awesome! We went to the Sao Paulo Temple for the first time. It is soooo beautiful! They have a lot of stained glass windows which are amazing! And the chandelier in the Celestial Room was way amazing! I love that celestial room. It is so cool. And as always the spirit was way strong! I love the temple it is such an amazing place! I am so glad I got to go as early as I did so I could go a lot. Half of my district went their second time here in the CTM. I am so glad I had the opportunity to go a lot and to go with Mom and Dad! The temple really is such an amazing place! I'm sad I can only 1 time a week. Oh, and I found out I may not be able to go at all once I get in the field because there's not a temple in my mission. Sad huh. All of the Brazilians tell us that Joao Pessoa is really HOT! And that we will baptize like crazy. So I am really excited. I keep hearing good things about my mission so that's good. :)
I got Grandma and Grandpa Gubler's letter the other day. It was really funny. I had the hardest time reading Grandpa's letter. :) It's almost easier to read Portuguese! :) But I got through it and I loved it! Both of them! Needless to say Grandma's was a lot easier to read. :)
Today starts my 6th week! Crazy huh. I can't believe it has already been 6! And yet I totally can. :)
Oh CTM pizza.......let me tell you about it. Every Thursday night is pizza night. The first thing you need to know is that whatever it is.......it's NOT Pizza! We have a little saying that goes like this. Pizza night Thursday means Hershey squirt Friday! Oh and another one is.....Nothing goes down smoother or comes out easier than corn cheese pizza. :) They have this weird chocolate banana pizza to......it's odd. Funny story time :) One of the translators was sitting eating lunch next to some Americans and some Brazilians. the Americans said, "what kind of food is this? I dunno, must be Brazilian." And the Brazilians said "What kind of food is this? I dunno, must be American" So now you know that I have no idea what I'm eating sometimes! I swear they just throw random things together! And they have some really odd deserts. Some are really good but others are weird. They almost have a jello consistency but a really wierd texture. I dunno. It's weird.
Well, I just got done e-mailing everyone so now I don't know what else to write about......So Halloween is coming up and we are planning on buying candy and running around the hall dressed up saying "Trick or Treat" :) ha ha ha. We get pretty bored locked up in here all day. Well, family, I'm coming to the end of my page so...I love you all so much! Thanks for all your love and support and all of your letters! I miss you all so much but I know the Lord is watching over you and me. Give Tator a big hug for me, along with Whiskers. That is if she is still alive. :) Your always in my prayers!
I know the Church is true! Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ loves us so much and are always there for us! The Book of Mormon is true! Joseph Smith truly saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
Read your scriptures often! Pray A lot! Keep the Faith!

oi my family!!!
yes, i would love to participate in the draw. but i wońt be able to send anything till i am in the field due to money and that there are not any good shops around:)
so i am doing awesome! this week was a little stress ful but all in all it was good! Elder Richard G. Scott came and talked saturday and i got to shake his hand! it was way cool! he is such a powerful speaker!!! I learned so much and i have some cool quotes i will send home in my letter! It was way cool to listen to an apostle of the lord! to be in the same room as a man who has seen our savior jesus cristo. Wow!
We went proselyting again on friday and that was fun. sorry i dońt have any funny stories like last time... but it was a good experience. my português is slowly getting better. oh, today starts my 7 week! crazy huh!!! i leave for the field in like 2 weeks! I cańt believe it! and yes, the rest of my letters should probably be sent to the mission home now . um... this saturday i have to teach the 2 lesson in port. so that will be very interesting. so while i have been here in ctm i have found that i have alot of things to work on. my trials are now more keeping s atan out of my head and staying up beat and trying to love the elders in my districto. and the last has been a real challenge cause some are just... great people:) haha:) it́s good though.
thanks so much for the package of goodies!!! i got it this week and it was soooooo good!!!!!!!! i love the fruit by the foot!! Wow!!! those were superb! and i loved the granola bars and the jerky!!! so yummy !!!! thank you so much!!!
dad... I was wondering if you would do some research for me when you have time.. one of my teachers said that Bruce R. Mconkie said that the saviors atonement covered all of the planets that god has created and just want to know if you have read anything about this. he also said that Richard G. Scott might have said it to. just when you have time though.
thanks so much for all the letters!! i got a ton this week! it was totally awesome!!!! thank you sooo much!! and please tell grandma and grandpa wilson, aunt angie, and aunt loye thanks so much for the letters and that i will write back as soon as i have time. which may not be till i get to the field but i will do my best. thanks so much for all that you do for me! i love you all so much!!!!
the churhc is true!! Jesus cristo is our savior and redeemer! through his atonement we can be cleansed form our sin and have the oppurtunity to live with him again! thank you so much for all you do!!!
I love you all sooo much!!!!!!!
Elder Wilson!!

Dear Family
Once again I am on a bus leaving the Temple, headed back to the CTM. So sorry this will probably be really sloppy.
It doesn't fell like much has happened but at the same time alot has happened. This has been the craziest, most stressful, and yet probably the most fun I've had so far on the mission. The reasoning, well let me begin....
On Friday we went proselyting! It was so much fun. But it was so stressful getting ready to go. Trying to figure out what I was going to say in Portagues, and just the fact that I had to walk up to random people and just start preaching freaked me out. It turned out good though. They took us to the busiest place in Sao Paulo,(btw-Sao Paulo is the 2nd biggest city in the world!) There was probably more people there than in all of Ivins! And it was like that the whole 3 hrs we were there! It was hard at first, but after getting rejected about 10 times we didn't cave and just went for it. It was so much fun! We gave out 2 BOM and probably 15-20 pass along cards, and were rejected countless times! It was so much fun though! I get to go next week and I can't wait!
But because of proselyting, thats all that I focused on and I didn't realize (actually, no one in my district did) that we had to teach a 15 min. lesson in Portagues on Saturday. And when one of our teachers found out, she chewed us out for about an hour and a half. But they let us use the weekend to study and then do the lesson's on Monday and Tuesday. And this is what really made my week stressful! We weren't supposed to speak any English, just Portugues. I figured I could do the lesson, I mean me and my comp, but I was terribly wrong! We did the lesson last night and it was so terrible. We completely messed up. I was forgetting my lesson plan in portagues. Then I forgot my lesson plan in english! It was so terrible. But luckily my comp is way good at portugues so we were able to get through it. Except for when we had to use the Bible. It was in portugues and we couldn't find anything. We probably wasted about 5 min just looking! So yeah, it was terrible :) And this Saturday we have to teach a 30 min. lesson to members in portuguse. That will be interesting. I am really glad I was able to go to the Temple today. It really helped to clam my soul and now I am not stressed. I was able to spend alot of time in the Celestial room too, so that was really nice to be able to sit there and pray and feel the spirit so strongly. I don't know if I told you but I got to help with a blessing last week, My DL asked for one and I was able to anoint. He hurt his arm and leg and was really worried about them healing. I was super nervous though.
I love you all so much!! Tell Grandpa Campbell hi for me and thanks for his prayers. Send my love! Thanks for being the best family ever!
