Game Of The Week

So I got tired of the Emo thing, so I put a new game on. It's my game of the week. It's a strategic game where you try to build your castle before your opponent, or destroy there's before they destroy yours. I think it's fun, and it gives me a reason to update my blog. Anyways, have fun:)

Injury

Sorry I haven't updated my blog for ever. I have been so busy lately, but all of a sudden I find myself with all kinds of time...
I am working for Brad for all of you that don't know, and on Tuesday we were out at a job at the ledges, (which is on the road that takes you out to pine valley). My alarm didn't go off that morning so I was late to work, so I just drove my truck out there. So after going back and forth from the shop to pick stuff up they forgot, I finally arrived. I was only at the job for 45 min probably and then it happened. Brad needed a 90 to connect on to the pipe so I was running over to get one. I went to jump over a big heating ac pipe with a sheet metal connector thing on the end to get out of the ditch and i didn't get my left leg high enough. it caught on to the metal and riped my leg open. I thought I just scratched it, so I looked down to check it out and couldn't believe my eyes. you could easily see 3 inches of the bone if not more. I immediately froze, I didn't know what to do. Brad, who was quite a ways a way glanced up and said "oh it's just a little scratch, keep going", not realizing how bad it was. Then the heating and ac guy saw it and came over to help, along with brad who came over to look. They got me out of there and up to the truck, where they realized that they didn't have a first aid kit or a clean rag or anything. So James, a kid I work with, and myself got in my truck and drove to the work med building down by Costco. The whole time James was freaking out, and I was totally calm.
I got 21 stitches in all, 8 underneath and 13 on top. I now hold the record for most stitches at the work med building. Surprisingly my leg wasn't bleeding hardly at all the whole time, it picked up a little more as we got closer to the work med building, but it really wasn't bad. I would have to say the worst part of this experience was when the doc had to numb my leg. He kept poking me with a stupid needle right where the skin ripped off.
But now I can saw that my first time ever getting stitches , I went all out.

Unfortunately the pics just don't do it justice. It was so much worse. You could see layers of skin and the bone. It was really bad.

E.F.Y.

Two weeks ago I went to E.F.Y.! It was so much fun!!! I loved it!!!! it was my 5 year going. I had so many fun and spiritual experiences! It was amazing! I love E.F.Y. so much because of the spirit you always feel and the people who there with you! It is so cool to be with so many youth who have the same standards as you and who are all striving for the same things! It is so awesome! I think one of the coolest things is when you see a change in people. When you have someone in your group who may not have a testimony and isn't sure the first couple days, but then through out they week you start to see a change in them, and by the end, they seem so strong. it is so cool!
My favorite part of E.F.Y. is definitely Thursday!! Thursday is the spiritual day of the week. You wear your church clothes all day, and the young men and young woman split up and go to different classes. Then later that night everyone gets together and the session director talks to you, and then everyone sings the efy medley!! It really is so awesome! As soon as the music starts the spirit just hits you! And it is so amazing to be in the room with a thousand or more youth singing this song! Wow!!! It really is so awesome!!! Then you go to testimony meeting which is always my favorite!! the spirit is so strong and everyone is crying... Yeah.. it is awesome!!!

ONE MORE DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!! AND ONLY TWO DAYS TILL I GRADUATE!!!!!!!! (Cause Wednesday isn't a school day, we just go for a couple of hours and sign year books)

Summer!!

Only two days of school left!!! I can't wait!!! Finally, after all of these years of waiting, I get to graduate!!!! It's crazy cause so many changes are taking place right now. Yesterday was my last day at the chocolate factory, so I won't work at all next week (graduation!!!), and then the following week is E.F.Y. Then the week after efy I start my new job. I am so excited for every thing! It is going to be hard at first, but I am ready for the next step!!

Oompa Loompa no more

So just the other day, on Tuesday I believe, I put in my two weeks notice at work. I am really glad to be done working with chocolate, but it is kinda sad to leave. Just because I have worked there for three years and I enjoy working with the people there. But now I get to graduate and start a new job and learn all kinds of new things. It will be fun.
There are only 12 days left of school!!!! Not counting weekends. I am so excited to graduate. I can't wait. I am done with high school. Except I have to make a senior portfolio, which really sucks. It is due next week I think and I haven't even started it yet.... yeah.... that is going to be a lot of work.

Senior Ball!!!

This past weekend was my Senior Ball!!! It was soo much fun!!!! I went with Jessi!!!! for our day date we went up to Zions and went on a hike. I don't remember the name of the hike but it was fun. I think it was the Emerald pools hike? I dunno... That night I went and picked up Jessi, and met the rest of our group at the Santa Clara park, where we were "getting pictures taken by family members". At least, that is what we told the girls, while we were there and getting pics taken a limo pulled up! It was so much fun to see the looks on the girls faces!! We then rode to get our pics taken at the school, and then went to dinner at the Gun Barrel! It was really good! I got the Buffalo Sirloin steak! Wow!!!, it was way good, there potatoes are amazing to! Then, from there we went to the dance which was down at the sun river plaza in St. George. It was way fun!!! Then when the dance was over we all met back up outside, and broke out some roses that we had been hiding and gave one to each of our dates. It was soo much fun!! As my mom said the limo was slightly dented, but it was so much fun to ride in!!!!! Overall, I would have to say it was thee best dance I have been to!! Definitely my favorite one! Not to mention that Jessi and Me were the best looking couple there. We matched almost perfectly! right down to the shoes! which is really funny! she had shiny black shoes on and so did I!

This is Jessi and Me after our performance. Don't we look so good together! For part of my performance attire I have to wear this red shirt that has these big frilly sleeves. It is really annoying!!! I hate wearing it, partly because it is a little to long and gets in the way of my hands. But it matches the skirt. It was alot of fun though!!

Ballroom Dancing

Jessi and I have been taking a ballroom dance class for quite a while, and we have gotten pretty good! This past Easter weekend we performed a Tango and a Rumba at the arts festival in town. We did pretty good I thought. We both really enjoy ballroom dancing. It is so much fun!!!

My Dream Car

This is my freakin awesome dream car!!! It is a 1965 Ford Shelby Mustang! One day... I am going to be cruising the town in this car!!!! It is sooooooo cool!!!!!!!

This is me with my black eye. You can't see it very well, but it is the best picture I could find. It looks alot worse in person though, at least I think it does. My cousin Cameron says that it makes me look like I am really tired.

Church Ball!!!

This past week, my Ward Basketball team was able to go play in the region tournament. It is the first time that our ward has been to region in a long long long time! We went undefeated in the season ( but we didn't get to play the only team that could have beat us because the game was cancelled), and took first place in our stake. The other team (10th ward) has taken first place the past couple years and was pretty mad when they found out that we got first. On Thursday we had our first region game at 7:30. We won 58-16!!! We kicked but!!!! Then our second game was that same night at 9:30... so we had an hour break. We lost this next game... it was to 35-42. We should have won, because honestly, they weren't that great of team, but we couldn't work our defense, and they were dominating the rebounds. During the first half we just couldn't get any energy on the floor, and none of our shots were dropping, besides the fact that half of them were stupid shots. We had the game within one point with about 4 min. left to play, but then they took off again. I had 3 fouls in the first half, and in ward ball you only get 5. I wasn't to happy when I fouled out with still 7 1/2 minutes to play. But, over all, it was fun. That is the farthest any team has ever gotten in our stake, all the other teams have lost in the first round, so we are pretty excited about that. I did get one souvenir from the game though. During the first game, the other team brought down a rebound and I jumped in there to guard him, but when he turned around, he elbowed me in the eye. So now I have a black eye! It was pretty funny at school the next day!

Busy!!!

So I know I haven't updated my blog for a while. I have just been so busy with school and work. It can all get pretty crazy sometimes. Just as a pre-warning, I may not update my blog as often as I should. When I first thought about creating a blog, one of the problems was I knew I would never update it, or would never know what to write. Soooo, I apologize ahead of time. I will do my best to keep it updated. :)

New Job!!!

Finally... I have a new job!!! I don't start until June 11 (after graduation, and E.F.Y., and my senior trip) but that is okay, cause I will be making a whole lot more money!! Right now I am working at Amber Lynn Chocolate Factory. I have been there for almost 3 yrs. and it is definitely time for a change of scenery. I mean it is a really good High School job because I basically made up my schedule and I can get off any day I need. But I am done with making chocolate. I just talked to a guy in my ward who owns Bang Construction, and he said that they will gladly have me on in the summer!! It will be a hard job.. but I am excited. Some of my friends work for them and I was asking them about the job. They said they work 12 hrs. a day, 5 days a week. That is alot, but what else will I have to do. And think of all the $$$$$$$$. So I am pretty excited. So I will be working Construction/Concrete.

Trail Bike!!!

This is the flippin sweet trail bike that I want to get!!! It is a Kawasaki KLX250 . I hope to have enough money saved up so I can get it after graduation. I have been wanting a trail bike for a long time cause I like to go ride around on and off the road when I get bored. Lately I have been borrowing my cousins 4-wheeler, but it is currently out of comission, and such a hassle to load into my truck. So I have decided I want a trail bike! Which means I also need to get my motorcycle license.

Funny Moment :)

When I got home from work my sister had been looking at my blog and she asked me why I wrote Cotton Top (my title) in two words. She thought it was one word. So we talked about it for a second then she decided to look it up, thinking it was an actual word. Well guess what.... It is an actual word! Here is the definition of Cotton Top:

I thought that was pretty cool!!!

I realized that everybody might not get the title of my blog, so here is the reason i chose it. When i was a little adorable kid my hair was as white and as straight as can be. My great grandpa Gubler gave me the nickname Cotton Top because it looked like cotton. And the name has stuck ever since.

About the time I was in 9th grade my hair decided that it wanted to be curly. It slowly started to change and now it is really curly. Everybody thought that I had permed it at first... but it didn't. Now my friend Reggie and his mom always call me Curly. So that is why it is the Curly Cotton Top!!

Sooo.... This is my first post of my new blog. My extended family all have blogs and my mom has been looking at them alot lately, and she finally decided to make one. That kinda got me interested, along with looking at all of my other friends blogs, so i finally took the time to make one. So here it is!
